    @SethWalderNYDN
    Bowles said on ESPN Radio that Owusu might be out 2 weeks. #nyj

    Not that he's contributed much but it looks like we need additional help from Smith/Pryor (?) for our thinning corps

    I heard on another thread comments Bowles made about Kerley. It wasn't exactly overwhelming supportive of him. This coaching staff is obviously not thrilled with him. It could be spin and then on Sunday they throw to him 10 times. But I'd be surprised if they do.

    Decker is only day to day... may come back and be limited but better than nothing. Smith is healthy it's just about when Bowles feels he's in sync with the offense.. they should be working on him this week.

    This will test the WR depth, will probably need to lean a lot more on Ivory and Powell this week.

    LOL An injured depth wide receiver is a test of our depth? Where is he on the depth chart? 4th?

    Kerley probably still won't get any reps.

    Powell is a pretty decent relief out wide. I really like his utility.

    Have we even thrown a pass to our TEs? Not really too worried about losing our 5th WR when Kerley hasn't even played yet and there's other passing options we haven't explored in a game yet.

    Owusu is essentially second string since Enunwa plays most of his snaps at a different position than Decker and Marshall. It's usually Owusu who comes in on the outside to allow Decker or Marshall to move into the slot. If Decker and Owusu are both limited or out, that would definitely test our depth. It could mean meaningful snaps for Devin Smith or Jeremy Kerley.

    Through the first two games, the Jets have played Owusu and Brandon Marshall outside, and Decker in the slot, when lining up in three-receiver sets. So Owusu's injury is not insignificant. He played 52 of 69 snaps against the Colts, after getting 40 of 61 against the Browns.

    It seems like you're making a point against me even though that's exactly what I said, I don't know...

    Well if Kerley doesn't get involved now you KNOW he's in the doghouse.

    No, just that Owusu who in his current role that has him out on the field for the vast majority of snaps is a little more than "essentially second string." I am not crazy about this injury because he's a platform from which Gailey can position his #1/#2 receivers.

    Sunday (esp. if Decker can't go along with Cumberland's non-threat performance), I see the Eagles loading 7-8 in the box much the way the Colts did in the first half with Byron Maxwell and a safety over the top to double team Marshall. And while the Eagles are 0-2, they're still in the NFC East race with Romo out, and they're a team good enough to adjust at halftime to came back in the 2nd half against Atlanta on the road. This is a desparate Eagles team; hardly a pushover game others here have suggested. None of them are when you're coming off a 4-12 season, new additions aside. As Joe Walton used to put it, nobody should be getting into a "comfort zone" especially after only 2 games against flawed teams.
