geno is not a long term awnser and any reps we give him are counter productive to our long term success. last year was the time to evaluate him. he showed he is terrible. time to move on
how about the fact that practices and preseason games dont count towards your record. winning and losing dont matter there nor do TD passes. fact.
yup. to me the offense has 3 goals: dont turn it over dont turn it over dont turn it over do those 3 things and i like our chances to beat anyone
yes, look it up, practice touchdowns and preseason wins dont count towards the regular season. this is common knowledge
There's no way to say that Geno is as bad as that one Buff game. It was terrible but not the defining moment in his career or it shouldn't be. Peyton Manning had some games almost as bad. When Geno got starts after that he was a lot better to his credit. Do you think that Geno is so bad that even his teammates want to kill him? Well, next question. But the point that Fitzpatrick doesn't back pedal and Geno does is well taken and basic Quarterbacking.
Are you serious? What you think good players font practice? Toy think it's just something you do? You think it's how players learn playboy's? Clearly you don't know a damn thing about football and all you are is a fan. That's fine just keep your lack of knowledge out of conversations that require it. Sent from my SM-N910V using Tapatalk
And you know he's not the term answer huh? Can I get some lotto numbers too? I'd love to win the cash 4 life sweepstakes.
It's not a question of how bad he is. It's a fact that he's not good. That could change and we may all wind up rooting real hard for that to happen but for now the offense is not costing the Jets games and that's the first time that's been true since 2011.
All these 3 and outs might as well be turnovers too...so while Shitzpatrick might not have thrown any picks, he kept the Colts in the game by overthrowing receivers and generally sucking balls. Can't wait til Geno "Black Jesus" Smith comes back and injects some swag in this offense...
Yes, and I also think those were very good observations. To be sure I am not going to say the new OC is above any criticism. But I agree Gruden's observations had merit, and the net result was a win against a team few even Jet fans would have predicted as recently as the day before opening day. But yes, trusting in your Qb to audible out is coaching.
I don't think many see Geno as the answer for long term starting QB so if we are winning with Fitz he should stay until next off season when Geno, Petty and whoever else can see who comes out on top.
2 years is a lot of opportunity for a 2nd round pick. Most guys don't get that unless they play really well for an extended period of the 2 seasons. Realistically Geno isn't going to get another shot with the Jets unless Fitzpatrick totally screws up or gets hurt. He might well get another shot somewhere else as teams often look at other teams discards if they had something good about them at some point. The Jets have gotten a closeup look at Geno and unless they have to put him on the field again I'm guessing they've seen enough.
With Fitz out there the offense seems under control. With GS, there's chaos and every play has one holding the breath. Many things are just opinion but the GS supporters are plainly wrong.
Geno may not be the long term answer but to say to evaluate him from last year team is dumb. This team is a lot better then last season team ALL around.
