I love the optimism which is usually in short supply here. That said, let's not get ahead of ourselves. The Jets are off to a great start, but they aren't shit until they overcome the Patriots. Just last week Bills fans were thinking exactly what a lot of people here are thinking now and the Pats put them in their place. I'm excited about the potential here, but it's too soon to be calling this team great or anything else that suggests they've accomplished something of note.

Yes. Definitely. Not that the Jets can't beat the Patriots. They always play them tough no matter what anyways. You still have to go through Foxborough.

But it's clear that Indy is way, way, WAY overrated.

Even if they still end up winning the AFC South.

‘No question about it’…to answer the OP…& to thank Rex for leaving

I haven’t posted on TGG since 2012 after it became obvious Rex/Sanchez was taking us nowhere …

This team is much better than any Jets team I have seen on the field…well before some SOJ lifers and Old-timers jump at me…a little history…I become a jet Fan in 1998 when I moved to the states…I was caught up with Randy Moss and I became a Jet fan coz of Parcells…never really followed the Jets that year just remember the meltdown in Denver…anyway I believe the SOJ died when Rex got here(the AFCCG’s)…he completely changed the culture…he had his faults but killing the SOJ mentality is his legacy…

As for this team just look at that Dline and the secondary…the LB’s are the weak point but they are not below average…which QB or offense will consistently move the ball for 4 quarters on us? Brady maybe but even the Pats have always had a problem with this D (Bowles/Rex are interchangeable on this D with Bowles already looking superior)…as for the Offense which offense have we had that’s better than this? Well we have always run the ball so that’s not the deciding factor…it’s the passing game that is different…the receivers and the continuity of drives…its two games I know but we look like we can move the ball effectively even when we can’t run the ball something that we have always had trouble with.

For me it’s really simple…look at the intangibles, Karma, history, coaching, it’s a passing league (no one can throw on us), Front office, weird stuff et all simply put the Jets have only ever won as a dog including the the AFCCG appearances it’s who we are…Geno gets punched in the face which is kinda SOJ but is it really? In steps a snake bitten bearded Harvard grad plus a post BPD great receiver (Borderline HOF really) who has never been in the playoffs plus a Coach/GM who seem to know what they are doing and Revis and player who seemed lost but is now found (Pryor) and that is just the beginning…the stories behind Owusu/Reilly/Williams falling to us a probable burner in Smith…I could go on…

The stars are aligning brothers…I will watch it from afar (I’m Kenyan and back home)…to me it looks like this has the makings of a great season…

This is a far better team than 2010..better DL, better DBs and better receivers...now it's up to Bowles to do better than Rex did with it in 2010.

Every Jet game is a Monday night game...comes at 8/9 PM for 1.00 o'clock games...hehe...no other Jet fan I know..few NFL fans (usually friends on holiday or guys who moved back)...its all football(soccer) fans...the NFL pregames is the only thing I actually miss but I only lived in New York for barely two years the rest in DC/South Florida so its kinda the same thing....

One reason this team feels different to me is the quality of some of our non-starting role-players. In particular Douzable, Powell, Marcus Williams, and Owusu.

Saying this is best team since 2010 is not saying much of anything. We've been a dumpster fire since 2010 which obviously we are not at this early juncture of season. Whether we are better than that team remains to be seen. I do think we are more talented now.

Buffalo hasn't made the playoffs since 1999 and NE has owned them since Brady became the starter there. The 2015 NYJ team isn't doing a lot of talking I love what they're saying about not having done anything yet. They're hungry.

This 2015 NYJ team has lots of guys that were on the 2009-2010 teams and guys who played in and/or won a Super Bowl someplace else Colon, Giacomini, Decker, Revis and much improved QB play than they were getting from Sanchez.

Top-to-bottom this is a much more talented team than the 2009-2010 NYJ team.

The feeling I get is that this is the team we should've had in 2011 coming off the back-to-back AFC Championship games.
