Awesome video. I like the term cool as a cucumber. We finally might have hit the jackpot in coach.

It's probably too early to say, but I'm saying it anyways: Bowles>>> Rex.

How they compare as defensive coordinators is up for debate. If you like YPG, Rex is your man, whereas Bowles stresses turnovers and bend-don't-break. From the standpoint of head coaching, Bowles is above and beyond Rex from what I've seen so far. Far superior discipline, adjustments, temperament, media relations, etc. Jets made a slam dunk hire with this guy.

There's no baggage with this guy. That's awesome to have for once.

This guy is extremely boring but he's genuine, no phone baloney crap and leaks to the press. He doesn't put any spin on his product. He's a former player who worked his way into the NFL (as a UFA) and had a nice career and started for a few years. But what we'll see is (I think) pretty good and error free football. If we can win the penalty and turnover wars most weeks this team can win. For me the bottom line is: I like this guy. Of course being a Jets fan if he was 0-2 it would be a different story.

Quote of the presser to me was about Brandon Marshall. "He plays big boy football".

Really enjoyed his post game presser. From his demeanor alone you couldn't tell whether we won or lost the game. Poker face.

Think we can all agree Rex's style of coaching was more fun in the offseason and between weeks. But from a technical perspective, it looks like it isn't even close. I'm gonna wait and hold my judgment untill we play the Pats because hate Rex all you want when we had even a decent squad he gave brady hell, and I wanna see how Bowles does vs the Pats or even another AFC East Opponent. Also remember how those exotic blitzhes in Rex's first year worked and everyone figured him out, wondering if that will happen to Bowles. Either way wont matter our defensive is too good to just scheme out of it, especially when Sheldon and Milner come back.

"We're not where we want to be but we're on the way and the trick is to win while you're doing it."

    Love that.

the man has a gift for understatement. Loved the presser. After Geno and Rex, I thought Todd and Ryan were like graduate school to sophomore year in high school by comparison

I loved the way he carried three defenders along for the ride on his td.

    Outstanding.

The thing that is so great about the statement that he made was that it is always going to be true. No team is ever going to be where they want to be until they're hoisting the Lombardi trophy.

So Bowles can run that line right up until the moment the Jets win it all. It's a great freebie and it tells his team and the fans that the job isn't done yet, but we have to keep winning games along the way until it's done.

I just can't help myself but like our coach...I still don't want to overreact. I have done that before and believed in the hype many times with head coaches of the Jets

Bowles, at least so far, is the coaching version of Curtis Martin. No gloating, no showboating, expects to be successful yet appears to be very humble. Nothing but class and professionalism...
