Setting up a nice run for Geno to make or break his career. Here's to the former.

    • Last week it was "we beat a crappy Browns team". This week it's something else. Get some therapy people.

The thing that kills me is when Fitz uncorks a deep ball, it's very painful to watch.

People are morons is the simple answer. Very happy with Fitz so far.

Nothing wrong with enjoying an unlikely 2-0.

There's plenty wrong with shaming people for having concerns about how it happened. Enjoy your drunken slumber either way.

No, he didn't lead us down the field to seal the game or no he shouldn't get ANY credit?

Right. Fitz could have played better in the 1st half, but after that Colts score, he drove the team right down the field for a TD. Can't ask for more. Similar to that 2 minute drill last week. Fans can be upset with some play calls and some passes, but calm down. He has done quite well through 2 games.

I'm stoked for the win, the D looked godly, and the last drive to seal it was clutch I can't remember last time I saw from this team.

That said, the Colts suck. They've been beneficiaries of a terrible division and every personnel decision they've made in the last few years not named Andrew Luck has been terrible. Against non division opponents they have a losing record, against playoff contending teams they had like one win all of last year. . All they have is a good QB and one good WR. This is like the Falcons game a couple years ago where everyone got crazy after we won. The Colts are really a bad team and their ENTIRE starting CB crew was out of the game. Their only real offensive threat was playing hurt.

People are bitching because they see the potential this team has not being realized and that is understandable. It's definitely concerning that we didn't put up more points. We are definitely vasty improved from last year but I hope the offense can keep improving and show progress each week. Right now we have a super bowl defense at best and a very good one at worst. So far we played two really shitty teams. It's great to see that we can dominate bad team (browns) and shut down a good QB (luck), that's what playoff teams do. But we need to put up some points against good teams before getting all piss pants giddy with ourselves.

Totally agree. Listen, we don't have a good quarterback, but he made some plays for us tonight and didn't throw the game away. He still gets credit for that.

Fitz is a veteran. He can make all the throws, he communicates well, that little hand signal to Marshall in the 4th quarter.

I am confident with Fitz under center. With our intense D and an experienced leader at the helm, the Jets can win some ball games this year.

Fine I'll acknowledge that. He didn't lose it for us. He better be buying Colons ass a steak dinner tho. Dudes playing out of his mind.

he's absolutely shown enough to keep it, why wouldn't he?

dudes played solidly, not every deep ball was a winner but he hasn't single-handedly destroyed our chances.

Listen, Fitz isn't a good quarterback, but didn't we all know this? What did people expect? He's an NFL journeyman for a reason. He's a stopgap. Within that context, you can't tell me he didn't do his job tonight.

crucial drops occurred and stalled drives, a few forced passes were made to Marshall, but in general Fitz hung tough and hit his man when he needed to. he even made a few really well timed throws.

it was a totally average campaign with an acceptable margin of error, if THATS what we can expect we'll win another 7-8 games.
