Matz didnt have his best stuff but still pitched very well. Sure the Yanks lineup looked like something we threw out there in May but still. Impressive that he overcame the run in the 1st to limit them. Hopefully the homer and double tonight gets Duda off to a hot streak. If he catches fire going into the playoffs its gonna be scary. I just hope TC gets him , Grandy and Murph..and even Conforto , some games against lefties before the end of the season. Also could Reed be our new 8th inning guy? He always seems to have a rough first inning and then settles down. Fox put up a stat that shows Noah's ERA is around 2 with Plawecki catching but over 4 with anybody else. Unfortunately today he only settled down until the 6th

Until the Mets prove otherwise, to me this is just the Mets playing "not-the-NL-East". They've managed to capitalize on a weak division, now they will have to go out and prove that they're a legitimate contender.
