Yeah, but how many Presidents have had to deal with this! http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/04/25/robert-draper-anti-obama-campaign_n_1452899.html And you wonder why a clown like Ted Cruz barely gets 5 %. So much for our elected Repub officials representing their constituents and not just their own party and personal interests. Kind of hard to believe the guy ends up being a really good Pres and these guys end up looking like fools.

Reagan had it worse than Obama with the economy he inherited.

    And stop making excuses.

What do you mean. Reagan worked with the Dems and didn't get this brand of obstructionism from the very first day. That's a true story. No excuses facts. One reason for a guy like Trump to be popular is this kind of stuff.

What obstructionism on the first day? He had a democratic controlled House AND Senate.

The only obstructionism in the Obama administration was when Harry Reid was the Majority leader and basically wouldn't bring anything up for a vote.

Did you see the link about the Repub meeting on obstruction on the evening of his first Inauguration. Welcome to the White House, Mr President. Oh, btw are you sure you were born in the US? Any ID?

Good point. But since I am feeling generous, I will point out here that Grant was really a better president than his general reputation would have it.

But I guess that was too far back in history to be of use today.

I saw most of this and it was a complete clown show. Half the debate was giving people Trump quotes to debunk. I know Trump is a celebrity but he was clearly the main focus of the debate, I guess they wanted to make him look bad to prove the party isn't a joke? I don't know.

My favorite part was when Christie told them to shut up and stop with the drama. That was classic. I hate to say it, but Christie did make SOME good points.

The only candidates in the primary even remotely grounded in reality are Bush, Carson, and Paul.

If Trump ends up getting the nomination, the party is going to collapse. At this point, my vote is with Rand Paul.

Who is this guy who spoke about Muslims at Trump's Town Hall Meeting? I haven't seen him interviewed or anything about him since this event. In a crude way this guy was very polished. He was loud but articulate. You can almost say a stereotypical bigot. He wore a Trump tee shirt and seemed to address the kinds of areas that could stir up controversy for DT. To me his presence was suspicious unless he comes out of the woodwork and identifies himself. It was discussed on several of the cable news outlets that maybe the guy was a plant. But if so from whom? Hildabeast and the liberals? Or maybe the exact opposite: the Tea Party who he's opposed on a number of issues. And whose favorite candidates (like Scott Walker) Trump is clobbering in the polls.

I'm more inclined to think this guy was associated with the RNC, being that the DNC doesn't need to waste time or resources at this point in the game versus any R's. The RNC wants to get Trump out of the way by hook or by crook and get Jeb!™ the nomination.

The pre-coronation of Hillary "I'm one of you" Clinton has been rigged from day one courtesy of Debbie Wasserman-Schultz who as the DNC chair has been the concertmaster in the orchestration of this sham.

Wasserman-Schultz fended off calls for additional public debates as "a burden to the candidates" yet it's the other 'non-Hillary' candidates (Sanders, O'Malley) that were calling for them. And then she took it a step further on Hillary's behalf by threatening to "disinvite" them if they don't put a sock in it and get in line. That's Karl Rove type bullshit.

If the Democrats don't have a serious competition, which Hillary would be favored in, they're going to lose in 2016. Can't have a sham primary season and expect your candidate to beat the winner out of a crowd of actual competitors. It just doesn't work that way unless you are an incumbent President.

Meh. While HRC is not an incumbent, she was vetted in 2008, is very well known, and whatever her haters might think about it has a real resume of government service.

What is it about the Democratic primary that is or will be a sham?

Btw, I see in a CNN poll report today that her support is solidifying, and she is up on Sanders another 5 points from earlier this month.

I just don't see a strong GOP candidate in this field. Plus the schism between the Trump supporters and the establishment is real. How does that get resolved and have all those people vote for the GOP establishment candidate in the general election? Says here that will not happen.
