Trump the winner in polls http://www.newsmax.com/Headline/newsmax-poll-second-republican/2015/09/17/id/691953/
There's nothing soft about her. And maybe that's why she's getting some notice. By talking tough which attracts some Repub voters. As for content there is none. And her Face commercial in response to Trump was stupid.
Saturday Night Live would just have a field day. Like they would thank the God's of imitation comedy if that's how it shakes out. As a country we would all be screwed if those are the tickets but at least late night comedy shows would be entertaining as hell as we collapse.
Too bad the Dems won't have more than one so that way they can protect their pwecious Hildabeast. And I guarantee they will ask that hoe nothing, and all her responses will be filled with her usual bullshit where she has about 7 "ums" then a long "well" then her usual shrill laugh at the end.
Hm. Trying to be objective as concededly the Democrat I am, these guys collectively make Romney look good. I wonder if he's regretting not running this time. The GOP tends to be nicer to losers than the Dems, so he might have had a shot. Guess not. I can see what the problem is with Bush, aside from the obvious that he'd be tied to his brother and seems like the establishment guy in a race where that's not a plus. Beyond that he's obviously been out of it for awhile. Seems like his rhythm is off. Seems more like a tax accountant than a leader. I see alot of people talking about Rubio. I perhaps need to pay more attention to him. Personally I think he lacks gravitas. Seems a bit nervous. But he might have potential. Kasich is an interesting case. He started late, right? Policies aside, he comes across like a reasonable person, and is not too tied to the Washington establishment. He's a long shot but he might be in it for awhile if he gets money. Rand Paul might be the most interesting, but he doesn't seem to be connecting to voters. I consider him a hypocrite on policy issues - an anti-abortion libertarian? How convenient. But in terms of his persona, he seems to have presence and guts. I know he's had some issues with interviews, but on the stage imo he comes across well. Walker was an early front runner, but again you can see why he's dropped. Not ready for prime time. Fiorina I don't consider a serious candidate for the top job. A VP? Hm. But she was a lousy businesswoman, so I can't see her making it. Carson looked lost. Trump is Trump. That about covers it. Is Romney really out of the question at this point?
I agree Romney would trump all of these guys, no pun intended. But that 47% comment has been something attached to him for a while.
BTW when are the Dems gonna have their 1st debate? I think I heard of one coming up, just dont know about the date.
really? Because I thought he handled the questions well. The one who I thought was drunk or high, like always, is RAND PAUL.
if you consider abortion to be murder then whether you're Libertarian or not doesn't come into play. No Libertarians support murder as a freedom of individual choice. Paul is probably the most consistently principled candidate in this field. He's anti-death penalty in an electorate that is strongly in favor. He's anti-abortion despite holding Libertarian views elsewhere. He's the candidate most likely to break through and connect with the average Republican voter as the primaries begin. He doesn't have a single issue that he's playing the angles on. That's what voters are looking for at this point.
It is one thing if YOU consider abortion to be murder, but there's obviously a lack of consensus on that. So, it's Libertarian to impose your moral views on someone else? Actually on a large group that does not agree with you? ANd let's not forget it is convenient for him to have those views. Imo most Libertarians are either indifferent or pro-choice. It's not a coincidence Paul is against choice. I serioulsy doubt he connects with the average voter . His numbers have been dropping as this has gone forward. I made positive comments about his demeanor. I did not say anythign about approving his policies.
Paul has always been the guy I wanted to win the GOP nomination but I've pretty much given up hope on that actually happening given his complete lack of traction to date. I can't stand this Trump nonsense. The guy is clown shoes. Care to elaborate why you thought Paul was drunk or high? Too much constitution?
I am hardly here to give Romney or any of the current cnadidates advice. But I think he could blunt the effect of that 47% comment with some pseudo pro-middle class policy proposal. That was three years ago, and that's a long time.
Eisenhower wasn't really a Republican and certainly not one whom current Republicans would follow and Nixon was a disaster. You have to find the heroes you can find and Reagan looks a lot better to the current Republican Party than the Presidents who preceded him.
It wasn't just Hillary who was ripped last night, it was mostly Obama who was portrayed by all 15 candidates as everything that is or can be evil. And responsible for all ills in society. This has been going on for 8 years including his first day in office when he was blamed by the GOP for the economy. As is the style of GOP candidates they try to make a negative into a positive. Like Carly being fired was because she was a good CEO at HP. And Trump's casinos going bankrupt was good business. And of course Obama's been blamed for the economy and the Middle East by the people responsible for it.
