I think the unis on this page are all butt ugly, from the too dark colors, to the font used for the letters and numbers, the black and gray, and the Jet stripes.
I agree. This page helped me come to the definite realization that green is a difficult color to work with uniform-wise. You have to stick with the basics and not try to get creative, otherwise it'll look very ugly. Kind of like the Browns situation. They have nasty brown. So it's either brown and white or some odd brown and weird shade of orange that comes out looking putrid. With the Jets. It's either stay with our actually nice green and white combination or start messing with other shades of puke green or booger green along with whatever color people THINK goes well with green besides white. It sucks because it decreases the odds of us having another era of cool uniforms. But our current situation is pretty up their in terms of best uniforms in the league in my opinion. Just have to fix that two tone green with the darker teen patches. I guess I wouldn't mind those kelly greens as throwbacks though every now and then.
I honestly can't think of an NFL uniform change in my lifetime that was for the better, except maybe the Ravens going to the raven head instead of the shield logo. The Bills and Jets current uniforms are improvements, but they are really retro-uniforms. The Cardinals tweaked theirs what, a decade ago, and it is pretty decent. Everyone else since then has botched it-- do we really want a Jets version of whatever the hell is going on with the Jaguars unis? Or the Browns or the Bucs? Do any of you have the slightest confidence that the NYJ of all teams will get it right? We'll end up with the worst of all worlds-- 1970's Buick fade to pea soup helmet, Broken digital clock readout number font, and a primary green that is indistinguishable from a grass stain.
I don't want are uni's changed.... They'll fuck it up. The Jags and Bucs had one of the better uni's, and now look like shit.
i think I heard or read somewhere that they will be allowing teams with dissimilar jersey colors to both wear the dark jerseys.
Fixed it for you. Barf. I love greens, but NOT seafoam green. I remember when cars were that color back in the late '50s and early '60s. Absolutely gross!
Awful!!! The Niners had great colors with their white and gold with red trim. That black shit just ruined their unis and is so pathetically lame. Black shouldn't even be in the mix as it wasn't even an accent color before.
I'm definitely a sucker for the Kelly Green's, I wouldn't mind if we went back to Kelly Green jersey's. Keep everything the same just lose the darker green. No one is getting amp'd for hunter green, maybe if I'm picking out an Eddie Bauer edition Explorer cira 1993 I would be, but the dark green is just ho-hum and not really historically Jets IMO.
