Kerley was one of our best players '13/'14. My how things have changed.

When the other names on the roster under WR are: Eric Decker, Stephen Hill, Chaz Schilens, Salim Hakim to name a few, of course he could start. Since the upgrade at WR, the hard reality is that Kerley simply isn't that good and should not start anymore. I'm not real keen on him doing PR's either but he's all we got right now. Jets may have been hasty with that $16mil contract.

He is still a very valuable NFL receiver, just not in the offense. Put him in a true spread like NE, Indy, GB, Chi, Den, or Dallas and he's an easy 60-600 guy.

Why is anybody talking to him? Who cares? Shut up and work your way up. I mentioned a couple days ago that this guy keeps complaining in some way and somebody responded "really? is there any evidence?!" and of course 1-2 days later you have another article on Kerley talking about what he wants to be in this offense, what "they" (coaching staff, GM) don't see in him and whatnot. Just trying to be a distraction. Shut up and give them a reason to put you on the field. They don't NOT use you because they're afraid you'll score too many touchdowns, that's for sure.

Sure, if he's motivated, if he shows effort. The way he talks I can SEE him just walk through practice and kick footballs around, halfass routes and whatnot. His attitude just stinks. I'm sure as a slot guy in GB with Rodgers throwing him the ball he'll work his ass off and do some damage. He's not a bad receiver, he's got skills. I think the issue with him is the mental part.

Kerley is right he is a starter, he's getting a raw deal the only thing to do is to work and prove to them that he should be getting more playing time.

He will be gone after this year if not sooner..if we wait it will cost us a net of 500k to dump him.

Think about this theoretical set and you won't even remember Kerley's name:

10 personnel (1 RB, 0 TE, 4 WR): Chris Owusu and Devin Smith out wide. Brandon Marshall and Eric Decker inside of them. Ivory in the backfield.

Because of the 4 wide spread set, the defense is stretched horizontally. This opens up running lanes inside for Ivory, who doesn't even need that type of room to run. However, the defense also has to honor the speed of both Owusu and Smith and their abilities to win over the top. Thus, the defense is stretched both horizontally and vertically. Lastly, it has to deal with two physical, great route runners in Marshall and Decker attacking the intermediate middle of the field with all that space.

We have more talent on offense than we've had since 2010, and it might be even better than that. We can beat a defense in several different ways, and even so our top playmaker from the last few years is our WR5 off the bench. I've been so caught up with the defense all offseason that I might've been underestimating what this offense can do. You can rag on the Browns all you want but that's a damn good defense that we scored 4 touchdowns on.

Kerley is an NFL starter, no sane person can dispute that.

However, if the team isn't going to play him, then cut or trade him to a team that will. Dicking around with him isn't right.

Kerley is a solid player. I like him, but what he could have done will probably be no different than any other of the potential #3 WRs. That being said, you know someone will end up getting hurt and he will get a shot to contribute.

to be fair, this is a quote he said today.

Kerley is as good as gone. Give more respect to the kid though, he's a good player.
