oh and except they are really good against the run and had the number one scoring defense/ST last year
haha..I could care less about the Eagles and especially their fans, I hope they go 0-16 and sign Kelly to a 20 year extension;.
Atlanta could be pretty good this year. And their staff very easily could've been here: Quinn as HC/Shanahan as OC. Bowles appears good so far but if Bowles tanks and Atlanta becomes good with that staff you can imagine the grumblings that will spread here also- Philly plays Dallas this week. That helps the Jets chances a little next week I think. Philly could be considered a soft team and they will be coming off a divisional matchup vs. a physical Dallas team... only to face a physical Jets team. hoping for a letdown here
I don't think Bowles will tank but of course you are correct that Quinn was on the Jets' radar big time. My recollection is he wanted to go to Atlanta since they were set at Qb and he could work with their D. From the looks of last night's game, I put that loss more as a credit to Atlanta playing well with a new CS in their home opener than an indication that Kelly is already done. Heh! Bradford btw looked good in the second half. They weren't in synch in the first half, his first game in nearly two years. Says here they play well next week. Not predicting a win over D, but it will be a clsoe game.
We'll see how it plays out. I still think the Foles for Bradford trade was stupid. Chip is over rated, but who knows. Maybe they'll put it together. Watching last night's games made me think that the Niners are bad, Vikings are terrible, Eagles are below average, and Atlanta may be slightly above average.
why do you care that a team, that ultimately is competing with the Jets for the Super Bowl, isn't good? The more teams in the league the Jets are better than the better.
Eagles offense will be fine. For all the mocking, I buy into Kelly being an offensive wizard. They were an elite offensive team last year, and while they did get rid of pieces, I honestly believe his system is the majority of it. How long it takes Bradford (and the other new pieces) to get comfortable is another question, though.
I wasn't one of them knew he was overrated. When you have thomas and chancellor at safety makes playing cb a lot easier
Kelly is trying to run a poor-man's Patriots offense. No huddle, short passes, don't let the opponent's defense rest. Problem is, Patriots have Brady, Gronk, Edelman, etc. Eagles have a mediocre QB and a mediocre WR corps.
