Again, if your QB can't throw it doesn't just hurt the offense, it also hurts the defensive side of the ball. Jets were doing fine until Favre blew up his hand. Then he couldn't hit a target to save his life and your season was over. Next year he almost took the Vikings to the SB. Losing such a big cog in the team makes your good team look average, and that's exactly what happened. Denver had no running game either so they were easy to defend.

Didn't they start 0-2 last season?

Browns have one of the best o lines in the NFL. We should see a much better pass rush against colts.

I wouldn't be surprised if jets were actually favored in this game. I think the whole outlook of them losing week one and being angry is overrated. Anger can only do so much. All that is gone when they start playing the game.

This is a very winnable game and besides the qb position is there any other position group that the colts are better then the jets at? I can't think of 1, punter? Lol

Dude they should NOT be favored in this game at all. They are 7 point dogs right now so you should throw some serious money on them if you think Vegas is off by stleast 8 points on this spread lmao.

Love the optimism, but there is no way we are favored:
    (1) It's in Indy
    (2) Indy was an 11 game winner last year. Jets won 4.
    (3) Luck v. Fitz

I don't think we will be but I wouldn't be surprised. Before yesterday I say we are a 9.5 point underdog today I think Vegas will say 5.5 underdog but I think we win this game

I'm not saying we should be. Just saying I wouldn't have been surprised. QB is the ONLY position that colts have an advantage at. The most important position but the only one

Always felt the colts were overrated... yeah they shred the weak teams in their division and pull off close wins vs texans but vs elite defenses they struggle mightily and it's easy to control the clock on them b/c of their defense or lack there of.

I'ma say big day for Decker and Ivory on offense... Colts kill the run early and try to find big plays out of moncrief and and their other fast wr, they'll get a LUCKy two of those..but that's it.

    Jets W 24-20

I like the way the Jets match up against Indy, and despite this talk about them being angry, from ohter accounts they are in disarray. Jets could win this one, meaning they have a very good chance.

The colts offense is so bad........a Rex lead team scored more than 17 against them.

FAVORED? Did you say FAVORED?...haha...the infinitesimal chance we have of winning that game will only be there if Hilton is out.

Embellishment can be funny. I like how you used the term, 'infinitesimal'.
If I may be serious for a moment?
We actually match up well with the dolts. Their OL is not even close to the Browns and they can't stop the run. Watch Ivory go off, I promise you. Additionally, their entire fan base is fed up with the insipid play calling on both sides of the ball for a reason.

On a different subject, I think this team will absolutely steamroll those gay sharks in south Florida.

I'm excited for the game. The Jets can keep it close if they continue playing strong defense and Fitzpatrick limits his mistakes. Now, the Colts defense is not even close to as good as the Browns defense. The game is indoors. Expect Ivory and company to do well. If the D steps up, the Jets can certainly win.

Indy at 0-1, playing at home, and Luck coming off a mediocre game. It looks like a very hard game.

I will say this about Luck and the Colts though - since he has been in the league, the Colts have been down big early A LOT. He gets so many of his stats when the team is down big and he has to throw every down. If the Jets can get a lead, they have a shot. And if they can somehow get to 2-0, I think 4-1 heading into the Pats game is not out of the realm of possibility (assuming they split the Eagles/Dolphins games).

Fitzpatrick has beaten Luck 7 straight games going back to 2007 (it's on the internet so it has to be true!).

All jokes aside, there's only one person hoping Fitz lays and egg and the Jets lose, and that one guy is sitting home sipping pureed lasagna through a straw.
