We never fare well down in Indy. If we can get things going from the start, set the tempo, we'll be in this game al the way. Can our D stop Luck, though. I'm not sure. Gonna be a big test for Marcus Williams. Step the fuck up, Jets.

Rex had 6 months to prep for Luck. It won't be the same week to week

I don't think we will win this game as of now, but if we can stay competitive you never know what could happen.

Frank Gore is chipped up, TY is hurt as well, but the Colts still have a bunch of weapons. Gotta be on the lookout for their TEs.

they cannot stop the run. Eat clock. We will find out what our D can do. Hilton out would help because Luck likes to go vertical

I tend to be more optimistic than I should, but IMO it is not out of the realm of possibility that the Jets could be 2 and 0 after Monday, with a bit of luck, tons of preparation and continued discipline on both sides of the ball. It will be hard, but the Colts are beatable.
1-First and foremost it will require for us to set the tempo and time of possession. Our OL and running game will have to be dominant. Wear that freaking Defense down. We need to activate our third RB and pound the shit out of them. Keep Luck off the field as long as possible and score early. Passing on first down by us could help open up the D some early on.
2- Non withstanding the total trashing of the Cleveland capabilities by some Jet fans our victory yesterday was not against a nobody. They do have a very good OL that was extremely hard to penetrate. The Colts are a far cry from that.
3- We need help at the LB position, we seem awfully slow inside and outside. Bowles and company need to scheme something that will prevent the middle of the field from getting torched. The front four will really have to get to the QB early enough to totally disrupt his tempo.
4- Dont start out slow and sluggish. I think the team that sets the tempo early has the upper hand. If we can force some turnovers early we could totally disrup their game plan and get the crowd out of the game.

Win or loose I think we will be prepared, ready to go with a solid game plan, and a back up or two if things change. We will not be embarrassed, which is a refreshing change in itself.

Of course irrespective of the outcome some will find the fly shit in the pepper, and argue that it was not the Jets that won the hard fought battle, but simply that the other team sucked and we were lucky, or conversely we just proved we can not compete with good teams. Go figure. How quickly we have forgotten the travesty of the 2014 season commencing with week one.
    Go Jets

god, I hate that puss-filled vagina fear and insecurity. As if the Jets desire to be 2-0 is less than the Colts desire to avoid 0-2 that the Colts have some emotional advantage. What kind of emotional instability does it take to suffer from such insecurity about your own team?

i agree indy has some weak areas. and hilton out is big for us.

but lets not brush them aside as some scrub team with a great qb. they did make the afc championship game last year, and basically have everyone back.

Donte Moncrief is a guy the Jets need to be on the lookout for, he's another vertical threat out there. This will be a great test for our defense though.

If Ivory continues to do what he did yesterday, Luck and the Colts won't see the field much.

bring pressure vs luck on D and run the ball down their throats on O. If jets win turnover battle too then they will be in great shape and should come out of indy with a W.

I'm not dismissing them at all. But what area outside QB do they excel at?

Williams should get the start over Cro. Let him rest up and be ready for Week 3.

Are you calling the Broncos a good team at that point? They played with a QB who couldn't throw a pass over 5 yards. That doesn't really help the teams chances. You of all people should know that. Just try and remember what happened with Favre after he got hurt while playing with the Jets.

pass catching, redzone offense, pass protection. i mean the NFL is a passing league. if you have a great qb and guys who can get open that can take you to a superbowl right there.

and by pass catchers i dont just mean wideouts. tight ends, backs, etc..

its not an accident they win 10-12 games and road playoff games
