His contract was structured so that it'd only essentially be a 1 year deal.

Cro's injury might not hurt all that bad. Skrine and Williams are ready to play in his place..he gets burned alot but my best wishes are with him I hope he comes back strong.

Hate to throw dirt on his grave before he's cold, but can we get any of that money back? Year 2 probably, how about this year?

It's unfortunate what happened to Cro...... But I believe in Marcus Williams..... He's going to get his shot now, and I believe he can get the job done

Cro comes back we have Williams for depth.

Cro doesn't come back who is backing up Williams?

    Let's hope Cro is OK.

You got the Dougle backing him up, along with Darrin Walls. Milliner will be back sometime this season as well.

Also, I highly doubt we'll ever seen Cro in a Jets jersey again. That injury looked like a season ender.

I'm not a football pro, but the announcers were describing that play as a missed assignment by the safety. Cro covered the inside route because he knew he had safety help on the outside. Turned out, the safety wasn't playing close enough.

Cro can be inconsistent but does everyone remember that year Revis went down and Cro took over and was very good? I like him and he will be missed. Having said that, as Bowles said, cornerback is our deepest position. So I'm not worried. I do believe in Marcus Williams. His camp and pre-season was outstanding.

He was burned on that TD because he stopped running with WR. Same shit exactly as what was happening in TC - he simply didn't put effort in it. That Cro took over was several years ago, no relevance to now.
Cro is (was) on the downswing of his carrier. His play was based on effort and physicality. He lost both.

I'm sorry for him getting hurt, but ultimately it's a good for Jets thing, IMO. I'd rather be careful with imperfect rook and limit his involvement than rely on a vet thinking about that one year he subbed for Revis and get burned twice a game.

I saw it differently. He didn't get burned on a Go route - he clearly stopped to cover the inside route in case the WR did - and we saw the safety come over late. I think the announcers were right, the safety was out of position.

I love Cro so I hope he's okay but Marcus Williams is a player and needs to be out there. Hope it's a strain and not a tear. depth is good.

The Man who was Revis in absence stopped .... to cover possible route. Was he running with his eyes closed and didn't see that there was no safety over the top?
Yeah, I'm sure you're right, the announcers had Jets D playbook in front of them and poor old Cro was perfect -- stopped mid coverage, just in case WR was going to stop.

You should know by now when a player is not liked on here everything is his fault.

Nah, it should've been Devine intervention covering that WR, Cro has nothing to do with wide open receiver.

We should break the safety's leg to get even.

Obviously this is just speculation, but non-contact ACL injuries usually don't appear to be as painful as Cro's injury was. Often a player will even walk off the field and find out later, its more about the ability to make lateral moves. That isn't to say its not an ACL injury but I'm holding out hope that it is some sort of hyperextension, which can be very painful.
