Luck had 24 Turnovers last year.....24. ( yea he had like 45 TDs too). I think he threw two picks today as well? If today is a sign of the Jets finally forcing some TOs, we might be able to go to Indy and win. We have a better O line and better D line than they do
That was ridiculous. If Tyrod is gonna play like that and Rex can seriously do that with this personnel then I don't see how the Bills aren't a conference contender. That was without Dareus too.
Luck is very turnover prone, despite his greatness. Last year we'd have had no chance in this game, because we were completely inept at takeaways. Could the 5 turnovers forced today be a sign of things to come, or was it just a result of a horrible Browns team? Probably both. Regardless, I think Hilton's health is a huge factor in this game. With him, 2 score loss. Without him, it's a somewhat close game and the Jets can win if they force a couple turnovers.
Colts are going to be angry and prepared for this. It's prime time on the road for us, I don't think that bodes well for us.
I've been saying since May that the Jets match up super well with the Colts. The Colts O-line is terrible, they have no running game. Jets strength is their d-line and secondary. Granted, we match up much better with Cro and Sheldon playing. But I think the general match up still holds true.
This is a statement game. Goin in there and winning and coming out 2-0 , people are going to start to take the Jets seriously. Luck is very good but not having Hilton at full strength or at all is very big. Andre Johnson is not what he used to be. They also have a limited run game , horrible oline and bad defense. Its a winnable game.
if our pass rush is as poor at getting pressure/hits on the qb as it was today we are going to give up 30+ points. fortunatly TY hilton is out next week and revis has always had success with andre johnson. the colts can be run on as well so while im not thrilled ot have to travel to indy with them needing a bounce back win im not completely pessimistic. i think we can steal a win if we play turnover free football. but the pass rush has to show up. and our linebackers need to do something. i know manziel is quick but he scrmabled past and around our linebackers too many times. luck has some wheels as well, we need to get off the field on third downs
their offensive line is bad and our defensive line is very good and i think that can define the game. i understand we didn't get many sacks today, but our defensive line still lived in the backfield of maybe the 2nd best offensive line in football i think revis can take care of johnon with T.Y Hilton being out and the colts will have no rushing attack to speak of. the only problem i could see is our LBs not being to cover their TEs as i think allen and fleener are pretty good. i understand the colts will be angry next week, but that doesn't take away from the fact that their defense is really bad and has a bad front 7. i think we will be able to control this game at the LOS on both sides of the ball, and that's super important, regardless of how good Luck is
Did you watch the game at all after the first quarter? What are you talking about? You do realize that the Browns actually have a pretty damn good OL, right? We still got a lot of pressure/sacks/turnovers on them regardless.
maybe on the stats. but they converted some long 3rd downs. they also scored a touchdown on a 3rd and 19. they also missed some gimmie 3rd downs cause manziel is trash. including a missed wide open touchdown on 3rd and goal
i watched the entire game. we didnt get much pressure at all until late in the game when we had a 2-3 touchdown lead and they were forced to pass every down. we sent 6 and 7 guys a few times and werent able to get pressure in the first 2-3 quarters. manziels long touchdown was on a 3rd and 19 with a heavy blitz. id love to see our number stoday when we blitzed, it cant be good. third downs were pathetic. no pressure and lots of open wideouts
sorry to let facts get in the way of your sploogefest. but the browns torched us on third down, and had little issue vs the blitz. thats with one of the worst qbs in football back there. had mccown not got hurt, we may have had our hands full
Get real bruh, nobody torched us. We whooped their ass. The only sploogefest in here is for McCown. Dude is an overrated JAG. Manziel is a shitty QB but he's 10x more dynamic than McCown, he's probably the best scrambler in the league and can make some shit happen out of his ass.
I've said this before and I'll say it again: the Colts are a soft ass team. They can't tun and can't stop the run. They have a great young QB and some good receivers but that's it. If the Jets run the ball and control the clock, they have an excellent chance to pull out a win. Plus, even though Luck is great, he does turn over the ball quite a bit.
Wow, I looked at the Colts forum that's linked on our homepage and they're all extremely pessimistic about this game. Rex has them shell shocked. I think they're in for a pleasant surprise, but hopefully our defensive line is able to take over the game like they couldn't today. The Browns o-line is on another planet compared to the Colts'. And again, Hilton's status is maybe a 10 point swing in this game.
their third down passing/conversion and their numbers against the blitz tell a pretty bleak story.... you said it yourself. mccown and manziel are trash, yet we couldnt stop them on third down. imagine vs a qb who doesnt suck? we really need to clean up the third down defense and get some kind of pass rush. or we wont be as fotunate
Our 3rd down conversion percentage was better. We had three take aways on third down against the Browns. I don't speak on something if I don't know my facts. Please don't confuse me with someone who just talks out their ass because they can.
