What a difference a year makes SMH Pretty obvious that B Marshall is an all world player, created fits for Browns all day. Decker solid as well. Our millio n dollar aquisions will be paying for themselves each week . Cause: The Brainy Beard makes some awesome throws today ( not believing no one sees him as a game MVP)but Fitz is playing lights out. Threw a laser to Decker that blew me away. More all world players: Powell and Ivory-money in the bank to win a lot of games with that type of running Cause: Mangold and offensive line getting the push we need Pryor, DBs and Def Line finally putting it together for us. The jets had turnovers in a game (blinks his eyes)!! Hope this is contagious each week Yes there are some areas to improve upon but my point is the product on the field has to the best we have seen in years. CS is the real deal FINALLY. Looks like we can compete and WIN in just about every game on schedule
Brandon Marshall was toying with All-Pro Haden out there...Incredible ability and a needed player on this team
Marshall was the MVP today. The take away on the pick was the turning point of the game. On the drive at the end of the half, he had three key first down receptions. He made thst drive happen. Then on the thirdcTD drive, he made that ridiculous catch on the 3 yard line and caught the TD pass. He is a game changer. The Jets have not had a receiver like him in a long time, a guy you can throw it to when he's not open and makes the catch anyway.
Marshall shredded Joe Haden today, my issue with him was the one drop for a 1st down and the penalty. That stuff happened early on, I think in the 2nd half he turned it up and he looked fantastic there.
it looked like Kerley had a 20 yard cushion when he fielded the 1st punt and yet he ran horizontal--could have gained at least 15 yards by running forward.
Before anyone starts wetting his pants over Fitzmagic, I need to say this. The best Jets QB today wasn't Fitzpatrick - it was Johnny Manziel.
Todd gets the gameball from Brick. http://www.newyorkjets.com/videos/v...ba-9dd7-4967-93f7-4393514f5c9b?campaign=ea-tw
I'm glad that all the work Owusu has put it is paying off, and that we're actually using him. Pryor was EVERYWHERE today. He looks a lot better. That's a start. It's only 1 game, but it's a start. The thing with Cro being done for the year, is even though it sucks nostalgia wise, and potential wise, it might be best for the team. Marcus Williams imo is the better player, and maybe Skrine will show to be that too. Who knows maybe we'll get really lucky and Dee will at least play 1 or 2 games this year too. I don't have much to be thrilled about, or much to complain about. We beat them like we should have. Overall I have confidence moving forward, but not so much for next week.
But he looked eerily mortal in pass coverage. I'm not used to seeing him anywhere but inside the WR's jock. Today there was lots of daylight between him and the target. Like a human being or something.
It was in the end zone sue me for forgetting which end zone. If Cro had gotten hurt earlier the ball bounces out of bounds and the Browns get another shot at the end zone.
I was happy with Alot Williams looks hungry AND good Pryor looked decent and improved Big cat is only going up Marshall is a hellova player Ivory is Lynch Jr Decker had couple bug grabs Linebackers are too slow Fitz interception I called on my couch. Just reminded me of a guy pushing it a bit too much and I was like just run it here, you're not Montana- but he recovered well Ps The 3 dark side comments If not for Marshall strip, dumb superman move by Hoyer, and insanely lucky Fitz fumble recovery we could be pissed right now But you make your own luck so I'm glad
Wow...give Fitz a break - the guy had, what 2 pass opportunities in the first quarter - one dropped, and basically handed the ball off in the fourth quarter, so most of his numbers were from 2 quarters against a good secondary, and the two TD passes were very accurate throws - he didn't put up 300 yards (for those who care about such things), because he simply didn't need to throw the ball much in the second half. The playcalling was smart today, and the quarterbacking very solid IMO.
