You are right. Qatar and Saudi Arabia created ISIS with the help of Turkey to balance Iran in Syria and Iraq. I was happy to see ISIS attacking Turkish soldiers on the border.

I hope one day ISIS turns into a headache for Saudis as well.

Yep... that's exactly it. The Syrian Civil war erupted because the Iranians and Saudis decided to play chess using the Syrian people as pawns.

I really hope that ISIS is not an invention of Saudi Arabia. If it is then we've reached a point of no return in the region and we'll be fighting there for the next generation or losing in a Vietnam-style quagmire sooner than that.

I've kind of been assuming that the shadowy forces behind ISIS were from outside the region. It's not clear who really benefits from ISIS continued presence but I thought it was pretty clear than none of the neighboring countries were having a particularly good time of it. Turkey has a huge refugee problem, Iraq has a huge instability problem, Syria is basically in a civil war, Jordan is terrified they'll be next on the ISIS hit list, and the Saudi's have seen their firm grip in the Gulf significantly eroded at this point.

Believe me Brad, it is about Sunni versus Shia. This fight has been going on for more than 1300 years and it will continue until the world collapses.

Saudi Arabia, Qatar and Turkey are the Sunni bloc behind ISIS. They didn't think ISIS would turn into a madhouse. All criminals all over the world are now trying to join ISIS just to enjoy killing people freely. Huge instability in the region. One thing I hope is to get our country in the end. Kurdistan is long due and we have been hanged to dry by USA twice now. First after first Gulf War in 1990 and second one is now.

Israel supports a free Kurdistan but USA says no not to upset Turkey and Saudi Arabia.

How could Turkey start a civil war on their own border? That's like insanity. Usually you pray your neighbors don't do that kind of thing.

The second question is how has Jordan become so involved in the battle if Saudi Arabia is involved? The Jordanian intelligence people have a reputation for knowing whats going on around them and it's hard to believe that Jordan would be so high profile if the Saudi's were a primary instigator of the mayhem.

That my friend is called stupidity by Turkish regime. Jordan on the other hand is not involved except when ISIS killed two Jordanian pilots. Since then, Jordan has stopped ISIS attacks.

Brad. Please read more about Sunni vs Shia. You will understand. Current Turkish Regime has deep Sunni roots and they hate Shia more than they hate Christians. That hatred will make you play with fire alongside your borders.

I know about Sunni vs Shia. It's still absolute insanity to start a burning war on your border.

The Sunni vs Shia inflammation in Iraq was caused by an outside force (USA) invading and knocking down the barriers that kept Sunni and Shiite from an outright massacre in the area. What we got out of that was years of massacres.

My assumption has been that it would take another outside force to have brought ISIS into existence, since ISIS is a rolling massacre with no end in sight and it is likely to drag in all of the countries around it before it is done.

I think our 10,000 is just a token gesture to do something...

Ever since that little boy was spread world wide... Most civilized countries are rushing to accept some number.

Honestly, I'm not comfortable with the 10K. They had better be screened thoroughly and if it were up to me, I'd put a chip in them to keep track. Too many crazy ISIS loyalists around these days along with crazy Americanos loaded for bear. We got enough problems of our own making.

Hey alley. I am Kurdish and I was the one who brought up Kurds and Shiite. Can you elaborate on what you mean?

Actually, the Gov't put the chip in my car, cellphone, tablet, desktop and GPS. Then uses that to track me so, its not that far off. Throw in face recognition technology and its almost impossible to go off grid if someone is tracking you. Simply a matter of how the tracking gets done.
