He's signed as a Bills practice player........Can practice players serve their suspensions while not dressing as one of the 53?
So can rex put him on the active roster have him serve his suspension than waive him and add him back to the p.s.?
that guy ends up taking ik's spot on the p.s. at worst. at best he ends up on an active roster with another team. we could sign that guy to tweak rex a bit if we wanted to
I believe he can't practice while suspended and since he's on the practice squad he you know can't practice. Which means he loses $6,600 dollars a week for the next 4 weeks.
He serves his suspension while he's on the PS. Doesn't need to be on the active roster to serve the 4 games. _
Rex outsmarting the NFL. If the NFL had any sense of humor they would have fined IK 600 bucks and moved on instead of looking like idiots.
You know - more and more i think IK did the jets a favor. The 2nd-4th games of the season are tough games (Colts, Eagles & Fish at their home technically, but london). If Geno got off to a rough start, which you could easily see against these teams then the fans would be yelling for his head. This way Fitz starts those games then Geno gets a couple of weeks to practice with the 1s and 3 of their next 4 teams are bad teams (Redskins, Raiders & Jags) with a tough game against NE. I think this is why Bowles is saying his Geno's recovery is 4 weeks because he doesn't want to start him against those teams early in the season. Let him get used to the offense against the bad teams and get some confidence first. My guess is that starting Week 2 or 3 he could probably play if necessary but he'll be inactive - if Fitz is knocked out and unable to come back the following week look for them to use Geno early.
