With Zimmerman out he's pretty much all they have on offense..Desmond and Rendon are nice players but poor seasons from the both of em. Good thing that was a solo blast though.
Conforto is a good hitter. His Ks to Abs for 100 plus Abs is under 25% and that should improve. His OBP is about .370. He gets the bat on the ball esp in important situations. This kid could be a ten year starter.
He seems like he doesnt like to work the count much..which I love. Has a great eye for a young guy and when he gets his pitch he doesnt miss it much. Solid player in a great situation on this team and is thriving with what he's being asked to do. Also a great defensive play to end the 8th. Things could've gotten sticky if not for that catch.
Look Terry, I don't think was going to start Conforto but so far he's won the job. I'm sure he will experience slumps like all players but he looks too fundamentally good as a batter to go into deep slumps like Duda.
Holy shit!!!! What a ride..... my voice is a fuckin hoarse....... I know we have had our bullpen problems, but there are other teams that are far worse. As much as I get on Terry Collins for his questionable decisions, he has to be in the conversation for Manager of the Year. He kept this team afloat all year and now is pushing the right buttons!!!!!!!!!!!
