This is unreal.... I stood on this bridge and took this picture last week, Sunday to be exact. It's in the Sanxia District about 20 minutes by scooter from my apartment. This is the same bridge today, just to give you and idea the water is at least 35 meters deep (or 114 feet) and at least 90 meters wide (300 feet) This is a shot looking the other way... and here it is today looking at the same arched bridge.... I was speechless
Just read this article figured I'd share it with the fellow weather geeks. What I want to know is can I build an ice hockey rink in my backyard this winter? http://www.slate.com/blogs/the_slat...o_we_know_what_s_coming.html?wpisrc=obnetwork
Wow Fred,,,,,,,you want to build a rink and I'm not sure what I want to build but I never realized how easy it is to build or Make your own snow,,,,,for the last hour I have been reading about how to make my own snow gun or buying one,,,,,just compressed air and water,,,I might give this a shot this year,,,
Build it. We put ours out right after Christmas. The kids usually get some time with it. Although last year we skated on the ponds a liitliie more
Easy, but almost impossible to get lots of volume. What you need is one of these puppies: SMI Super Wizzard Snowmaker
So this tropical storm,,,,,still far out,,,,but what do you weather geeks think ? This thing turning up the coast ? Where will it hit ?
This heat working its way east is the real deal. 98 today on my thermometer, tommorow looks like 95-97 as does Saturday. Sunday is looking like 99-101. It's mighty humid too.
@jaywayne12 Please advise if there is any chance of rain on Sunday? I will get tickets if you say no rain. Thanks as always sir.
What's going on offshore this week Jay? Looking at small craft warnings all the way into the weekend? TS offshore??
Brook. All reports say brilliant weekend. Perfect. Sunny low 70s. Remind me again Thursday. Will not be weather crazy til mid October. Sorry. CMAN. Although perfect weather....winds will be strong on Saturday and a bit less on Sunday. Waves above average. Choppy
Thanks Jay. I'm thinking perhaps the following weekend instead of this one. 7 ft seas are too much for me pardner.
100 percent..in fact the storm to the south has now been modeled to go even a bit north..still probably great for the Jet game...but down towards Delaware and east from there off the Jersey coast? Here is the write up from the NWS for the Jersey coast and Delaware: AT LEAST TO THE LEHIGH VALLEY AND POINTS SOUTHEAST DURING THE DAY ON SUNDAY AND POSSIBLY LINGER INTO MONDAY, BUT FEEL ANY HEAVIER PRECIP SHOULD BE CONFINED TO DELMARVA AND COASTAL NJ SOUTHWARD. NORTHEAST WINDS MAY ALSO GUST 20 TO 25 MPH OVER THE LAND DURING DAY ON BOTH SATURDAY AND SUNDAY, WITH GUSTS 25 TO 35 MPH POSSIBLE ALONG THE COAST. WITH THE EXCEPTION OF A COLD FRONTAL PASSAGE MID- WEEK, EXPECT GENERALLY FAIR WEATHER TUESDAY THRU THURSDAY. No way CMAN...stick to the following week!
Brook...for this weeks Jet game against Philly...still showing nice...probably a bit windy though: Saturday Night Partly cloudy, with a low around 56. Southeast wind around 7 mph. Sunday A slight chance of showers after 1pm. Partly sunny, with a high near 73. Chance of precipitation is 20%. Sunday Night Mostly cloudy, with a low around 60. Monday Partly sunny, with a high near 77.
