Rich Cimini @RichCimini 2h2 hours ago Eight years after SpyGate, new dirt emerges on the @Patriots, via investigation by OTL + ESPN The Mag. http://espn.go.com/espn/otl/story/_/id/13533995/split-nfl-new-england-patriots-apart…
That's an old scandal champ. If it turns into anything it will be just the chickens coming home to roost. It could take down Goodell and Kraft if it's true.
Do U mean this which is what Cimini is referring to Rich Cimini @RichCimini 2h2 hours ago And this: During Pats early SB runs, low-level Pats employee would sneak into visiting locker rooms, steal play sheets during pregame warmup
It has always steamed me that the press did not come after him with the pitchforks and the torches after he destroyed that evidence
Actually I think this comes from this weeks issue of ESPN magazine. Mike & Mike had the writer of the article on this AM
It's new info on an old scandal. Though I'm happy it's coming out. This was the best outcome from Deflategate. The Pats and the league slinging mud. This will never end, and the Pats will continue to be tarnished forever. Good times.
And those Pats ahole trolls constant leaning on Mike Martz' statement that there was no cheating during the Rams-NE SB? Total bullshit. http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.co...rent-changes-to-statement-he-gave-to-the-nfl/ Mike Martz was “shocked” by apparent changes to statement he gave to the NFL As we try to digest this new ESPN Patriots Alleged Cheating Opus, I can sympathize with a three-foot snake that’s trying to swallow the leg of an elephant. Buried in the story is a nugget that could prompt someone to try to grab by the tail the tiger that is the NFL. At some point after the Boston Herald reported in early 2008 that the Patriots had taped the Rams’ walk-through practice before Super Bowl XXXVI, a “panicked” Commissioner Roger Goodell asked former Rams coach Mike Martz to provide a statement “saying that he was satisfied with the NFL’s Spygate investigation and was certain the Patriots had not cheated and asking everyone to move on.” So Martz provided a statement to the league. And ESPN showed the statement to Martz when interviewing him for the Patriots Alleged Cheating Opus. And Martz didn’t recognize portions of it. “It shocked me,” Martz told ESPN. “It appears embellished quite a bit — some lines I know I didn’t write. Who changed it? I don’t know.” And that was the end of it, as far as the ESPN Patriots Alleged Cheating Opus is concerned. There was no statement from the league office denying any changes to the statement. There was no apparent effort to procure the original statement, if there was one. If Martz is right, that’s a huge deal. If the NFL changed in any way a statement from Martz that was used to placate Senator Arlen Specter and to block a Congressional investigation, this is the kind of thing that could turn the NFL into FIFA. _
So is the league going to repo their Superbowl trophys? If not who cares, this is the equivalent to calling a prostitute a whore It's already been proven they are cheaters the extent is irrelevant, cause nothing will happen
Yeah but it's just fun to do whilst we wait for the season to start. Oh, and Thursday night when all these masshole fans were thinking the telecast was going to be all about the vaunted Patriots and Brady being vindicated? I think not. It's going to be a shit show. Again. And they did it to themselves, this scumbag cheating franchise. _
I laughed when I saw the Boston Herald put their 4 SB trophies on the cover an sarcastically anguished "Why do they hate us?", implying that anyone going after the Patriots was doing so out of jealousy. http://ftw.usatoday.com/2015/05/new...ategate-boston-herald-headline-tom-brady-easy Sure, people hate you because you win. Happens all the time. But, people also hate you because you are cheating scumbags. Their team was really talented. They had a lot of good players. They could've won without this, except, Bellichek is a maniac, and can't do things any other way. Hope they put an asterisk on his bust in canton. Or a VCR tape, anyway.
Funny how this comes out now. I wonder what else will shake out of the tree now that Goodell and Kraft are on the outs.
I live in Maine and I'm surrounded by patriot fans , this is my one escape from them here. Between ESPN which has become the Enquire of sports network dragging there nuts all I've Tom brady an the his team I can't stomach anymore lol
No Pats trolls defending so far. I'm guessing the burden of constantly being on defense is beginning to wear them down.
