I am interested to see how that trade works out too. At the moment, it seems both teams made the right move.
27the ranked but top 10 best i think is the quote below. sancho played fairly well last year but the one thing that he was supposedly good at he couldnt manage to do. win. the team was in FANTASTIC position when he came in and he led them to a non playoff season. he took a 6-2 team and went 4-4 with them. including losses at dallas and washington. so lets not talk about what a great job he did. he did a decent job but couldnt do the one thing he supposedly does so well. win games.
yea because Sanchez is the entire team. He did however make 1 jumbo mistake in a close important game though but overall being called to play last season, imo he played great. Especially after being out an entire year then.
im good with disagreeing. he did play well at times and some will say he played against better competition than his predecessor. but the wheels did come off on his watch.
Tim was not just cut, Kelly said he wasn't good enough to be the Eagles 3rd string Qb. Which is basically a guy who doesn't play. And he was replaced by Stephen Morris who was cut by the Jags and has only been a PS Qb in the NFL. Look, Kelly knows 1000x more about football than I do. He said Tim needs more reps which basically means he should go to the CFL. If him and I still wanted to play that's what he should do. But I still think he can play in the NFL just my opinion. PS I could see with the wider field Tim being very effective in the CFL. Last year Montreal tried to sign him and they still hold his rights.
if he managed to get in during those 2 point conversations 2 weeks ago I think he'd still be on the team right now.
He can obviously play in the NFL and as usual Kelly is full of shit with his I'm smarter than you approach to everything he does. He got Denver to the playoffs and even won a playoff game in the process, wouldn't it be nice if we had a QB now we could say that about?
I think the 2 pt conversions was one reason Chip signed him. After seeing him with the Jets and put into that kind of a situation: 3rd and short and an obvious running situation when the opposing D stacks the line he was ineffective. His running success has been on roll outs and usually improvised. In the CFL with only 3 downs but a wider field he could be very successful. No one claimed him so I guess that's it for the NFL although Chip basically said if he gets more reps (in the CFL) he might be interested in bringing him back in the future. Anyways to me there is no future in being a 3rd string Qb. I'd rather be a starter in Canada.
Tim Tebow cannot consistently make throws that an NFL QB should be able to make. As hard as he tries, he cannot do the one most important thing an NFL QB has to be able to do. Pride brought him down. Not Chip Kelly or other teams or GMs in the NFL. Pride. If he put as much effort into becoming a football player instead of doggedly pursuing his idiotic dream of being an NFL QB, he'd be in a roster for 10 years. _
I'm not sure that Tebow has the skill set needed to be an H back or a tight end. As far as blocking or being a receiver or a set running back. His running success has been on improvised runs. He was basically ok on STs with the Jets and Westoff said he was a good player for him on special teams. Of course many of us remember that game when Tebow missed a block and the punter got creamed. Chip said he brought in Tebow as a Qb only. Either because he didn't think Tim could play other positions or it was what Tebow himself edicted. But it would be interesting to see if he could make a team in the NFL as a non-Qb. I do remember him going out for a pass and looking terrible. But that was only one play.
Yeah but the majority of other NFL QBs can't make those throws either and that is why they are backups. Kelly is just full of himself and I can't wait to see what they do this year after the changes he has made.
We had one. He now plays in Philly. Qb rating over 90 in the playoffs. Winning Pct. over 60 pct. Thank you John Idzik.
Yeah, Sanchez has the arm alright. He throws a great spiral to the defense. His stats are real bad. Worst of starting Qbs until Geno appeared on the scene.
Tim Tebow is the worst throwing QB I have ever seen. There isn't a backup in the league that is a worse thrower than Tebow. _
He obviously can not play in the NFL. This has been demonstrated by the Broncos, the Jets, the Patriots and the Eagles. The other 28 teams have had unlimited opportunities to avail themselves of his services and all have passed.
I'm just beyond shocked that Kelly decided not to keep Tebow as a goal line option. Apparently he wasn't very good in those situations during camp and Kelly chickened out at the end. He was probably afraid that if he kept Tebow he'd be stuck with him for the entire season if the inability to get in from the 2.5 continued.
Tebow can't make any throws reliably. Not a single throw. He's still got the hitch in his motion that scouts were talking about when he was at the combine. How can you go 5 years without fixing the thing that is keeping you from having a chance to be an NFL QB? This is like Leslie Nielsen talking about having a drinking problem and then hitting himself in the eye with the shotglass. It's at that level.
