It takes a LONG time, because lots of prep work, but saffron in any rice is one of my favorite foods so I make it often. Went to Spain a couple of years ago and was raving about paella so my kids bought me a big paella pan. Can feed 12 people easy. It's one of my go-to summer BBQ menus. _
Isn't Angus a type of beef? Which cut of steak did you grill? Porterhouse? Strip? Filet? Rib eye? That's like saying you like "country". _
it was some ribeye I got from Hy Vee. Their Angus Reserve is pretty good, pricy but wortht it once a week.
im not a foodie like Stokes ( could never have the patience to do what he does) is but I do enjoy a decent steak once a week. My biggest issue is that I overlook them I like them medium well, but they seem to always end up well done.
It's not that hard if you employ the 90-90-90-90 rule. A very light rub of olive oil with simple kosher salt and cracked pepper. Place it on a hot the grill for 4-5 mins, flip over on the exact same grill section (the first 90 degrees). You should have grill marks straight up and down. Do not move the steak once you flip it and never stick a fork in it. Use only tongs. 4-5 more minutes then flip over and rotate 90 degrees. Turn the middle burner down to medium then flip 90 degrees back to the first side. 4-5 more mins on that side then turn the entire grill to low and flip exactly onto the same spot (the last 90 degrees) for another 4-5 mins. Will give you a nice "cross-hatch" look and the steak should be perfect. Timing depends on thickness. Take it off and cover with foil and let it rest 5 mins. Your patience will be rewarded. _
I have been smoking a pork shoulder (Boston Butt) all day. Just took it out with an internal temperature of 195 degrees. Letting it rest now, can't wait to pull that baby and add some good ole Carolina BBQ sauce. We'll be chomping on pulled pork sandwiched in an hour or so and all day tomorrow.
Hahaha... Just grilled some beef ribs, chicken breasts and burgers. Just finished a 6 pack of delicious Goose Island IPA beer, waiting on the girlfriend to bring some more beer back. A beautiful day indeed.
Please adopt me. I will convert to Jesus or Moses or whatever religion you want me to convert. Robert Mondavi for the win. Awesome wine under $10
It's over 90 degrees in Columbus...I was going to be a man and BBQ anyway, but rutting like a wild animal on the floor in the air conditioning was so much more palatable. Call me a pu$$y.
My ex wife has my dog. The dogs in residence...however... are voyeurs. And look at me like... OMG...She lets him do that to her? Hail to the King.
