No Eskridge to the PS? Thought he played well other than having a concussion and missing some time. _
Thank god. It's still concerning that he's even on the bubble in the first place, but I'm glad we got him again.
i think they just gambled on him not being signed, they had to wait till today to clear millners spot
Well so would I but that appears unlikely at this point. And when you analyze the Martin swap out..it really isn't horrible.
No I'm not crying or anything, just was hoping an alum made the squad. Somebody that I would root for. End of the day, I want the best players. _
I think it'll be Kerley. The offense is sort of moving in a different direction focusing much more on size/possession. He might even be the #5 or even #6 at this point. But he's the Jets only decent PR option & is good for the ole Offensive skill swiss army knife as a slot zone buster. He has KILLED New England's zone packages routinely for years. Judging by the way we are built I doubt the Pats move away from that off cover 2 against us..which may take away some of that outside stuff..which means we'll be calling on Kerley once again.
Posted this link to an article on who will play the slot - every WR basically include Marshall and Decker - in the Gailey as an OC thread also http://www.nydailynews.com/sports/f...-jets-oc-plenty-versatility-article-1.2350272 Would not mind if NE cover the outside where Smith and Owusu can be lined up if Decker and Marshall line up in the slots in 4 WR sets
Great article...and very encouraging. Still love the idea of having that shifty "short area" guy should the situation dictate.
All about flexibility - nothing to stop them putting Kerley in the mix either to spell if a 4 WR set or add him in as a 5 WR set and really force the opposition to decide if they blitz or try zone
