Week 1: Cleveland Browns @ New York Jets

Looking back at the pre-season and the most refreshing stat is a total of 1 interception for the entire preseason yes its only pre-season but heck I'm pumped

 

Putting $ where mouth is, taking the 3 points on a Jet victory. Not one of the tougher games on schedule

 

I really have to believe our defense will shut down McCown and the Browns O. I think the offense will need to be just okay and not turn the ball over. Jets 24 Browns 13

I think the Colts might roll us in week 2, so I'd really like to see the Jets not slip up here.

 

I dont see the Colts rolling us, the Jets D and in particular its secondary should keep the Colts from scoring at will. You will need to see alot of Ivory and Powell to shorten the game and maybe steal one from Luck & Co.

But the Jets need to win at home week one. I think they will demolish the Brownies...

Look at the schedule this game is important

 

Hawkins is going to feast on our linebackers. Gotta stop him and shut down Crowell and we should win.

 

Cleveland Browns are 1-15 in their last 16 season openers. I think our defense will make a statement to the rest of the league with plenty of sacks and at least 1 or 2 picks against McClown. Ivory is a great DFS or regular Fantasy Football play he should run all over the Browns defense.

 

Couldn't agree more, and love that Browns opener stat..very promising.

I think you are way over estimating our team. Our linebackers are extremely slow in coverage and Luck will exploit that without an issue. Losing to Indy on the road is not a bad thing necessarily. It just means we are not in the elite. I hope we win the game, but I would be very surprised if we are even competitive. I think our defense will do whatever they can to hold the fort down, but our offense will not be able to keep up past the first half.

 

I saw a lot of different looks in preseason with the Jets frequently going with just 2 DL, 4 LBs (with two playing with their hands on the ground like a DE) and 5 DBs. Bowles has no problem going 2 3 6 either, especially if the opposition cant block - the Colts Oline is not the best and they had HUGE problems last year defending the run. They hoped to bulk up their DL this off season but I saw Arthur Jones going on IR which sets them back

 

I'd like to think Colts won't roll us but Andre Johnson might have a field day if he gets matched up at all on our lbs

When our fans are worried about Andrew Hawkins of all people, that's how you know this franchise has been tormented.

 

Crowell is nothing special we should have no problem shutting him down
