Martin (6'1/200) became a full-time starter as a senior in the Tigers' secondary, finishing third on the team in tackles, intercepting two passes, and forcing a pair of fumbles. He only started 21 games in his four-year college career. Martin ran 4.63/4.65 at the LSU Pro Day with a 33 1/2-inch vertical and 10-foot-1 broad jump. A box safety and/or dime linebacker, Martin is a big hitter with coverage limitations. He'll likely have to earn his NFL keep on special teams
Milliner is going on IR at 4 pm today. I guess they want another DB to replace him. He could also be replacing Jarret or Miles.
I suppose the CS has it's reasons for the selections they made, but we fans can still do some head scratching. Here are my itches: 1. Erin Henderson over Joe Mays. 2. Quincy Enunwa over Powell, Owusu or Posey (take your pick). Although I can see the plus side if having a big bodied WR is important to them, but I don't recall seeing Enunwa make one catch in the preseason.
Enunwa had a fantastic camp and preseason as a blocking WR. He was a no brainer to make the roster. Owusu and Powell were the shocks to me. Mays was just more me wanting him to make it.
And sometimes you should stay where you were drafted - not always a good thing to chase the $$ but Ellis' one-year deal in March included $500,000 guaranteed - OUCH!!
So much worse for Kenrick as Nix fails his phsical As for Nick O'Leary - terrible 40 time and was brutal in camp NO WAY
