Nonsense, total nonsense..if he can't play in the NFL they wouldn't have drafted him, there is no risk at all. You seem to forget the two total bums that started for us as rookies over the last 6 years. I will take Petty over either of them.
another factor today is that pup moves can not be made till tomorrow, so ridley has to stay on the 53 today and millner can not be added to ir/return till tomorrow. so we may cut 2 guys who we want back, one of johnson or flynn could be in the mix
After philly cut tebow i would worry they have their eyes on one of them, probably johnson as he would fit nicely in kelly's game.
they got to see both of them up close on thursday night so it will be interesting..i think right now philly only has 2 qbs on their roster after cutting tebow and trading barkley.
Literally the exact reason Petty does not need to touch the field this year. Thank you for further proving my point.
What point? He is the backup, not the starter and teams don't plan for their starter to get hurt. Now if the plan is to keep him as the backup until week 6 when smith is due back i would agree there might be a low level risk in that but again he would still only be the backup. I should say they don't assume their starter will get hurt but they do plan for it and they must be perfectly content with petty as the backup for however long they expect that to be.
The fact that there could be QB puncher on their team will far outweigh whatever talent IK brings to that team.
Chip Kelly is funny. He just said in his presser that they're gonna add a third QB, that Tebow isn't good enough.
I see that Al Toon's kid Nick got cut. Anyone think the Jets should bring him in for a workout since they seem to be bringing in some other young WRs?
Geno isn't officially due back in week 6, the 6-10 weeks began when he had surgery a month ago. He could end up being activated in week 2.
So you can have the three stooges to talk about in a year or two? Petty is less ready for the NFL right now than Sanchez was in 2009 and Geno in 2013.
