I can see how Pat homers think this is a good outcome. Your wrong of course! Brady's actions hurt the game and it's credibility. He cheated, yes it was a very minor cheat but coming from an organization with a history of cheating it is egregious. If Brady loved the game at all he would have manned up and taken the penalty! He is a coward!
Anyone here have to fire an employee and go through a grievance? The process is very simple- Do have a rule that says you can terminate someone for a behavior? Do you have proof the employee did that behavior? Did you follow your own rule above? That's it. The NFL failed on each count- no rule and/or misapplication of unrelated rules, no proof, FAIL. And they just KEEP failing. Placing hope in these clowns will just lead to more bitter sadness and impotent rage... Carry on! Hahaha
I have, The simple fact that the balls were deflated in the first half while the other teams were not would have been proof enough. By the way the placing hope in these clowns goes both ways, although your clowns have a history of cheating.
Yeah, the judge basically said the 4 game suspension was out of line based on what the NFL had done in other situations that had similarities in the past. He threw out the suspension as disproportionate to the alleged offense. It was a good ruling for Brady and the Pats because he gets to play opening week and doesn't miss games. It was a bad ruling because it did nothing to clear Brady or the Pats of cheating. It just said that cheating hasn't resulted in a quarter season suspension before, except under the PED guidelines which are set in stone.
NT. Commissioners in all sports have been giving suspensions to players without this kind of claptrap. And the burden of proof doesn't have to be perfect which is basically what Brady's lawyers demanded. If this sticks it's going to be very hard to have any discipline in a league. Your guy apologized for being a part of a distraction that hurts the league and that was in his words. On that count he's right. Again our society is of law suits and people suing if they don't get their way. And a lot of times they win on a technicality just like he did. It's like that where I work, too. The lawyers are in charge. You have to run everything by them.
Brad, what's your opinion of Berman and Kraft being part of the Columbia board of trustee mafia? Roar Lions, Roar.
This is what Pats fans are conveniently ignoring. They see the suspension being removed and associate that with confirmation that Brady is innocent of all allegations. I understand why they want to believe that but I don't understand how they can attempt to argue that point when it's 100% incorrect. It's not even up to interpretation, it's documented right there in Berman's statement where he says whether or not Brady was involved or knew of what was happening it's not grounds for a 4 game suspension. It didn't say "he didn't do anything wrong and therefore there is no suspension" which is a huge difference.
Not trolling, but curious where is Burning Elvi? He was pretty active before Thursday, and now suddenly he has vanished. Edit: I didn't see the last page. I see he hasn't vanished. Still clinging on lol.
Way oversimplifying. He overturned for 3 reasons. 1- (your reason) No notice of possible suspension and thesteroid use comparison. 2- Commish improperly denied Brady the opportunity to examine Co-lead investigator Jeffrey Pash. This guy who works for Goodell edited the "independent" wells report. 3- Commish improperly denied Brady equal access to investigative files. The judge specifically notes that Weiss, who led the supposed "independent" Wells investigation, was used at the appeal as co-council for the league. He had access to all investigation notes while cross examing Brady. Brady's lawyers were not privileged any of the material. The judge noted that the league pulled the same thing in Bountygate, and Tagliabue made the league turn over the notes. Whether you believe Brady is guilty or not, everyone is entitled to a fair hearing. This commish thinks he's above the rules.
First of all Brady is guilty of collution and cheating that much anyone with eyes can make that determination this has all been hammered out by the cba. So what they did is lie and connive their way out of punishment and cheated the other teams. If this was a court of law then yes you would be right. but this is about competitive advantage, the other teams in the league have the right to play on a level playing field. Their fans pay the same as everyone else. What makes one group more entitled then another group? Sorry if anyone thinks they are above the rules it is brady and the cheaters. If he did not then he would have taken the punishment and shut the f up. whya don't you quote everything else that led up to this? Brady is a liar and a cheat regardless of what mass holes think 70% of the country thinks otherwise.
Agreed... Its been fun boyz.. Memo to Pats Fans. Please return to your own fansite and leave in peace. Go Home now. We can revisit after the first NE/NYJ game.
