Cuts around the league (Potential Jets)

    Cuts are beginning to roll in right now and I thought it would be helpful to have a live thread where we can discuss some potential Jets.

    First big one:


    Played under Bowles in Arizona obviously. He'd be an upgrade (I'd guess) over Talley and Bowen in terms of depth and he fits our defense.

    Honestly if we were intrested we would have signed him this offseason when he was a free agent.....He has been in the league for 12 years his carrer is just about over.He didn't play in 2014 due to injury a torn acl

    I think that was still around the time where he thought he's a Pro Bowl caliber player. He picked the 49ers over the Cardinals. At this point I think his value is all the way down, he's a backup and in order to get his career going again he should reunite with Bowles. Otherwise he could just call it a career and hang up the cleats.

    The Jets don't need more DT's at this point. They probably need to turn a DT into a quality OT or OLB.

    Dockett would be depth at DE, over Talley & Bowen. Sheldon won't play the first 4 games and Leonard is a rookie. Wouldn't mind having a capable veteran out there in the rotation.

    Somebody mentioned him earlier. I don't see us signing a veteran Guard but who knows.

    This guy makes over 6 mil. per year for the next 4 years. No wonder the Titans want to dump him.

    OT, OLB and TE depth definitely has me concerned....
    hopefully Mauldin can stay healthy and contribute. At OT and TE tho........yikes

    Which is why I don't get why people would want to trade for him. And pay him that kind of money. He sucked in TEN.
