As far as the actual ruling... it doesn't exonerate shit so just leave that to your Cheater boards. The judge ruled on what he felt was ether a fair or unfair punishment. Honestly I wonder how this will play out, I'm not sure the NFL is done. Of course I had a feeling as soon as the judge started speaking he was all about overturning the suspension. It sets a really bad precedent but like I said he seemed like a pro union guy from the start.

I think it sets a great precedent. From the Ray Rice and AP suspensions to this the league had wielded far too big and arbitrary a hammer in delivering punishment and hopefully this changes things. Just because I would have liked to see Tom Brady suspended doesn't mean I can't agree with the actual ruling and hopefully the change it has in the league.
I hope you are aware that the judge wasn't allowed to rule on the merits of the case and ball tampering, just if the CBA was violated and was it a fair hearing. If the NFL actually takes the ruling to court where they look at the facts of the case, they will get killed. You have zero proof of ball tampering, you give a penalty for psi levels and when your garbage science has been proven false by pretty much everyone, you move the goal posts and penalize the player for not cooperating. Except for the little fact that the investigator who wrote that hilarious paper for cool 3 mil specifically told Brady that there would be no penalty for not handing out his personal phone. Yet that was Goodell's second ruling. Smart guy that Roger. Yeah that sounds like a solid case to appeal on. That's a bold strategy Cotton, let's see how it plays out. (Just a hint: it will not go well for the NFL)
That is unless the ball boys take the stand and they sing like jay birds. i fully admit the league had nothing more then circumstantial evidence and way over stepped their boundaries with this ruling, but those texts about going to espn and "the deflator" are pretty hard to ignore that something was going on. I highly doubt both of them would risk perjury to save an organization that fired them.
