I feel like people who supported Idzik after the billboards were put up should have to have a special tag or something under their name indicating they have no idea how to evaluate NFL front office personnel.

Yeah and you do. After the fact. Idzik had 2 drafts and the grade is still incomplete.

Idzik's biggest problem is that woody forced rex on him. If you don't rex was behind the wasted draft picks for millner, pryor and mcdougle then think again. wasting a 3rd round pick on mcdougle, a guy some teams never had on their 7 round board, shows how little rex ryan understands the draft.

Don't give me that 20 / 20 hindsight BS, I called my shots and said what I would have done differently at the time each bad decision was made. Sure I got some wrong but guys like Zach Mettenberger and Joel Bitino were in my mock drafts. Despite being told that the front office knows better than us arm chair GMs just admit that we were right.

Leonard Williams has more sacks in this pre-season than Vernon Gholsten had in his whole career.

Idzick got almost no one in free agency despite cutting Sanchez, Revis, and Cromartie loose. Our new GM not only got both corners back but found us a QB and some legit free agents at positions of need.

The Amaro pick seemed OK since we needed a TE but Millner? You do not trade away the best CB in the NFL for the 11th overall pick and burn the 8th overall pick trying to find his replacement.

Just eat some crow for backing Idzick and admit that some of us made the right call.

Those 3 players could end up being our long term secondary. If they can ever stay on the field esp Milliner who some foolish fans say they want to get rid of. We'll see how good Revis and Cro are and if they can live up to those huge contracts. To me although the fans are on board not necessarily good signings. And this was via the owner. Mac was just following orders the same way Idzik did when he got rid of both of them.

OP was clearly drunk while posting.

    2013
    Milliner has barely played.
Richardson is suspended and will likely get a super long suspension added after his last incident.
Geno got punched because he's got a bad attitude.
    Winters sucks.
    Aboushi sucks.
Campbell was released after one year.
Bohanon is a fullback so who cares.

    2014
    Pryor is very slowly improving.
Amaro dropped a lot of passes last year and is out for the season.
McDougle missed all of last year and is a backup.
Saunders is now a Patriot after one year.
Evans doesn't deserve a roster spot.
    Dozier is meh.
    George plays for the Jaguars.
    Dixon plays for Tampa.
Enuwa is a borderline #3 who reached that high because Kerley is lazy and Smith got hurt.
IK punched the starting QB and is now a Bill.
    Boyd sucked.
Reilly is a depth ST player.

So who the hell are you talking about?

Idzik was fired after 2 seasons and if still here would have spent the same money in year 3.

You just cant quit digging a bigger and bigger hole for yourself can you?

It is over and you have lost.

Instead of Revis, Cromartie, and Marshall he would have spent it on Larry, Mo, and Curly.

Stop trying to make the arguement, stop trying to play the game, and simply admit that you were wrong.

John Idzick was a horrible GM that set us back a couple years by losing Sanchez (plus the wasted time and pick on Geno) and that we were jackpot lucky to get Revis and Cromartie back.

The best part is that he got another job with the Jaguars so he can continue to prove how bad he is without hurting our beloved Jets.

Idzik had a few good ideas like collecting comp picks and.....wait.....there must have been others, right? He did sign Decker and Ivory so there you go....no wait....two contributors in two years....let me do the math....nope. Too little and too late on the FA front too. Wait wait, our RT and RG, now I feel better.

We'll see. I like Mac, too. Better than I did Idzik. But this criticism of his drafts is irrational. If you compare to most other teams drafts they were ok. And to talk about players the Jets didn't draft who played well (and are better than the guys they selected): you can do that for every team. They picked guys like Sheldon who are a lot better than players chosen before him. But he should have been fired for the presser. It was embarrssing.

Uh no it's not irrational. Both of his drafts sucked - not only did I disagree with Milliner, I disagree with Geno Smith as well. Don't even get me started on 2014.

Only thing Idzik did well was trade Revis.

Yes, we know you don't like Rex....... it's referenced in almost ALL of your posts. Not only was he the coach, but the GM, Head of Player personnel, Director of Scouting, owner, and the cause of global warming.

The draft report card isn't in yet. And that includes Milliner and Geno. Who could end up being good. A lot of people think that Geno is better than his first 2 years showed. I'm not one of them.

That card is out, you don't need 4 or 5 years to see this. Don't feel bad though, Cowboy fans felt the same way about Morris Claiborne.

Let's not forget the players he cut, and the missed opportunities.
