Am I crazy for thinking we could make some noise this year? Fitzpatrick looked good last night...... He has WR's that are better than he's ever had...... This could be the best offense we've had in a while....... And the Defense will be good as well...... I'm beginning to think we could win the division this year......
fitz gave e reason to be a little optimistic but i think that giant team is pretty bad. and thinking you are crazy and you thinking we can win the division do not have to be mutually exclusive opinions just sayin
Injuries will tell the tell for the Jets this season. They have 9-7/10-6 potential and the question is whether they can stay healthy enough to reach that. If Fitzgerald stays healthy and the offensive line coalesces the Jets could be a legitimate playoff contender. There have been a few significant absences on the defensive side already and the defense has to stay healthy as well. I'm optimistic but I recognize that all it takes is one or two bad injuries and the Jets are done for the year.
If by 'making noise' you mean winning 10 games, taking a wild card spot and maybe getting a first round upset, then no. I think that's the ceiling for this team. If you think we can take the division from the Patriots or make it to the Super Bowl, then I'd say you're a little crazy. Anything is possible in the NFL, but the odds of that are very slim.
I guess I'm the only one who thinks Fitzpatrick's passes didn't look all that good at all. To me they seemed a little weak and could easily be picked off.
The Giants are going to suck this year(especially on defense). I wouldn't read too much into last night's game
No, I don't think your crazy at all. Fitzpatrick showed us exactly what we need to make the playoffs and make a run: a competent smart quarterback. Nothing elite, but someone who can control the game, limit turnovers, and score points. That's exactly what Fitzpatrick has done. Our defense will find its footing. It has already made huge strides since the first preseason game. Our running game and screen game is gonna be a lot of fun to watch. Couple that with Decker and Marshall at receiver, I think if Fitzpatrick plays like he's done all preseason, we can win 10+ games and make a run in the playoffs. Our offensive line has been great so far. The only thing that has really been off has been the communication and missed tackles by the defense. Something that can be resolved and has gotten way better in just a couple weeks. I'm a very optimistic fan and sometimes maybe a little too optimistic but something just feels good about this squad and coaching staff. I feel comfortable watching Fitz take snaps at QB. I haven't felt that comfort at QB in years.
i thought the wr's were getting very open and fitz made the good reads. the td to decker was a very nice touch throw.
A little bit crazy, but less so then people who have said the same thing in other recent seasons. I can't see any reason why we can't contend for at least a wildcard spot but are we likely to get the division? I'm not so sure.
Here we go with the preseason delusions....I realize winning the 2015 SnoopyBowl was pure hysteria, but lets see what happens in the regular season
Fitz is ok. Please don't expect him to become more than he is. Geno will be back at some point and the coaches will try to use him because his upside is higher. Solid QB play and they can go to the playoffs.
very tough division this year. I think NE snags that division and Miami get the WC. I just feel an 8-8 season
Its not crazy. We have 4 games on our schedule..all at home..that should be easy wins. CLE, WAS, JAX, TEN I know no game these days should be called an easy win but it would be a major letdown if we lost any of those games. If we can split our division games that already takes us to 7 wins. Im sure we could find a way to get to 10 wins if injuries dont strike and Fitz gives us just average QB play.
Never said he should start this year. Not till week 14 at the earliest and only if we're out if it. And it's not "your". It's "you". _
