Wait who is the keyboard warrior again? Lol, getting mad as fuck because you are completely off. Pick a side, there's no middle ground, either a franchise QB or not - I think Teddy is already a franchise QB, and will have a good 2nd season. I knew that the day I saw him stomp on Florida in that bowl game. I saw you backpedaling in your previous post. It's ok to be naive here.
So you're suggesting a QB heading into his second year is not already a franchise QB? LOL. That's not what folks are saying. It looks like--to MANY of us AND from all reports coming out of Minny (coaches, GM, players) and the NFL media that this guy has what it takes to be a true franchise QB. And sooner rather than later. Exactly. Never mind. _
It's shocking what some folks can't see. Haven't seen it coming for years. And I don't think anyone is saying he's Luck or Manning. But he's going to be a top 5-7 guy and pretty soon. _
Wait a minute. Are you suggesting that Teddy is NOT already mentally a special talent? Dude, that's his biggest attribute. Folks have said he's the smartest QB in the 5 seconds before the snap and the 3 seconds after the snap than pretty much all of these young guys. He's seeing things that guys that have been in the league 5 years don't see. He's already better at reading protections and coverages than half the guys in the league. And he's a kid. _
Apparently, you need to be a 6'4 guy with a rocket arm to be a franchise QB. The best ever to do it didn't have the strongest arm, but the will to succeed.
People really need to know the difference between a Franchise QB and an Elite QB. A Franchise QB is someone the team will know that he will be under center for the next 5-10 years. An Elite QB is top 5 at the position. Is Bridgewater a Franchise QB today? You bet he is. Is Bridgewater an Elite QB? Not yet, but give him a couple more years.
why don't we go back to say 1980 and review. not many folks on this site can handle that, including moi
Dude, you need to step back and take a deep breath. Why are you pissed off? Saying that Teddy Bridgewater is weak-armed, the definition of meh, and that he isn't a special mental talent is absurd. No one, none of the "experts" has said anything even remotely resembling those things about him except you. Therefore, you ought to understand why people would react a little strongly and question your judgment. There's no reason to talk about us creaming ourselves, being nut swingers, and getting so bent out of shape. You keep asking for proof of why we think he's so good and criticizing 101 for not providing any, yet you haven't presented any to backup your position, either. Pot, kettle and all that. I've been posting here long enough that you should know that when I'm wrong, I make no bones about it. I'm not so insecure that I can't admit that when I'm wrong. If Teddy flops, I'll admit that I was wrong, but I'm not worried about that in the least. Barring injury, imo he is going to be a very good NFL QB for a long time in the NFL.
Bridgewater.. http://forums.theganggreen.com/threads/draft-bridgewater.80856/ my locked thread. I'm so pissed at this franchise for missing that.
With Pryor looking like garbage tonight, Jace Amaro having no impact this preseason, Winters and Aboushi nowhere to be seen, MacDougle getting outplayed by Marcus Williams and Darren Walls, AND Shaq Evans not catching anything thrown his way, I would be inclined to think that Idzik was the worst drafter in our franchise history. He may not be the worst overall GM as he had some good pickups like Ivory and Decker and cleared some much needed cap space, but this guys picks have yielded us nothing other than Richardson and like...maybe Bohanon? Now the Fire Idzik sign doesn't seem so bad in retrospect.
John Idzik is the worst drafter in Jets history not for who he fucked up and drafted. But for who he fucked up in not drafting. Teddy. I hope Idzik has hemarroids that hang like figs. _
It all goes back to being complacent with the QB situation. What I've learned from this is that until you've got a clear franchise QB, you can't stop looking for them. Geno was by no means looking like he was gonna be the next Luck. They decided safety was more important, which even if Pryor turned out to be good, how much impact would it have made anyway? Safeties don't transform teams, but QBs certainly do. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
He fucked up by taking Geno in 2013. Worst QB class in the history of the NFL draft. We would have done better taking a punter in round 2 that year. _
Nut huggers unite. Teddy is the real deal. It's no big deal to guess wrong. Just cut your losses, change your screen names and jump on the band wagon. Had Idzik drafted Teddy we'd be contenders for the next 10 years. _
