Sam Bradford bout to win Comeback player of the year if he stays healthy. I really liked Bradford out of college, he's one of the more accurate QBs in the league when healthy. Mark won't see the field for sure. Poor Sanchez lovers.
Talent is there with Bradford but his chances of getting hurt is pretty high and I think Sanchez will see the field unless Tebow lights it up in practice.
Tebow will only come out for 2points but if last night is any indication he might suck at that too. Sent from my LG-LS720 using Tapatalk
Give Sanchez a couple of more years and he'll become one of those 30 year journeymen who occasionally shepherd a team to a title. All the ego will be gone by then. He'll just be glad for the chance to play and keeping things under control because by then he'll know exactly what kept him from becoming great (or particularly good) the first couple of times at the dance.
It's funny I still dont have a read on Sanchez, even after all these years. On the Jets he put up some horrid numbers, with very little talent or coaching around him. In Philly, he's looked pretty damn good, with a good cast and fantastic coaching. Granted, he was playing against 2's, but still impressive. At this point, I think I'm willing to say he is just an average, to slightly above average QB. He actually would be a decent fit on the current Jets.
That is pretty much all he has been. The problem is because he was drafted 5th overall we expected Tom Brady or Peyton Manning.
I hated Mark when he was here more than I do Geno. But Mark played satisfactorily last season for Phila when he started a lot of games and in a way it was a comeback year for him. Give him credit but to me he isn't consistent enough to be a starter.
Meanwhile hes playing great over in Philly while we still have the shit show that is Geno, who most likely will return to start during the season. As for the journeyman comments, hes only been with 1 other team. Chip will not give up on Sanchez so easy, especially since he always wanted him. You also cant ignore his steadiness and calmness in playoff games.
Well, the closest we got to a SB since Parcells in 1998 was with Ryan and Sanchez and we did it two years in a row...even if it was despite him and not because of him we haven't gotten close since. I still wonder what might have happened if we had a real qb those years and not a rookie.
For the 2nd straight year, Mark Sanchez will SIT vs. the Jets. Looks like Chip Kelly will start Matt Barkley and then go to Tim Tebow after that.
I know why Kelly made the Foles for Bradford trade, and if Bradford stays healthy, it should work out for the eagles. But I also see Foles had a very good game Sunday against the Colts. 10 for 11, would have been better but for a questionable offensive PI call on Austin, 128 yrds including a 44 yard td and a 143 rating. I am guessing the Rams are happy with the trade. Rams still have some OL issues, though. Tough division, but it will be interesting to see how well they do.
