So far we only know that it's a knee injury. No idea how serious. What else we know is that he wasn't laying down on the ground or attended to on the field, he walked off the field and walked to the locker room unassisted. I didn't see a limp even though that is what is being reported. But we also haven't seen him back on the sidelines and haven't heard jack shit. So who the fuck knows how serious, but that is some info for those who can't watch the game.
I just sacrificed a head of Romaine. Sliced in half then threw it into the fire. Mmmmm grilled romaine hearts. _
I read somewhere it's been scientifically PROVEN that praying for someone to heal actually works. There have been so many documented cases in the bible and elsewhere. you're clearly an idiot if you don't believe this. wait wrong thread sorry
(ashen face) Been trying to buy a Mojo Hand ever since it happened. Don't know any voodoo priests though....
In the science world, that'd be called the placebo effect. Probably just had a stinger and kept him off the field as a precautionary move.
I hope they're just doing it to be safe. They also thought Kelvin Benjamin, and Jordy Nelson were fine too.
Despite a new HC, new OC, renewed Revis, Marshall, entirely new defense, etc, I am going to need to go dark for a while if the MRI reveals a major injury. It's not hyperbole when I say losing out on watching Williams this year is pretty much the worst thing that could happen in the preseason for me as a fan.
HOLLA FUCKING LOOYAH GO TO BED HAPPY JETS FANS @AdamSchefter: X-Rays on Leonard Williams' knee were negative. Jets think it's just bone bruise and he will be fine but getting MRI done Sunday to be sure.
A little bit of an emotional post but that injury was the only damper on a nice night for us. Glad to see the initial diagnosis isn't serious, hopefully it's confirmed. I figured it'd be a bruise or something since he never went down on the field. Probably banged it on somebody.
That's great, but x-rays always come up clean on major ACL/MCL injuries. It's completely irrelevant to a ligament problem. Glad to see the Jets are confident though.
Mo Wilkerson said he spoke with Leonard Williams, who assured him he was OK #nyj — Brian Costello (@BrianCoz) August 30, 2015
There's a difference in the type of injuries. If the report was "Jets believe it's just a sprain" then I'd still be concerned, because that implies that there is ligament damage and the severity could still be better than anticipated. Kelvin Benjamin was initially thought to have a sprain. The fact that they think it's a bone bruise implies that it's a collision injury and the most severe it would be is a broken bone, and the X-rays came back negative.
