Don't worry about it, it's an obscure rule. It's a shame his injury happened on the second day of camp instead of prior to it because then he would have been PUP eligible and your point would be valid. I still think he'll get back in time to make an impact before the 6 week PUP period would be up, though.
Why don't you take a few days off Nerd. Go do something else for a bit and come back refreshed. You need it man. Your threads are just bad lately. Do yourself a favor and take a break from here. Trust me on this one..
he wasn't that far off as i believe the Jets could use short term IR on one player.. same thing though....6 week period and Smith will be ready sooner. maybe Milliner for that.
I think IR/return might be an 8 week thing, which would take Milliner and Geno out of consideration. I'll check on that and edit my post. Edit: yep, IR with return makes you inelligible to practice for 6 weeks and inelligible to play for 8 weeks
Makes no sense. Even if he's eligible for the PUP, that means he would miss 6 Weeks. Most likely he will be healthy for the season opener (even if Bowles decides to keep him out since he won't have practiced for much). That means 5 out of 6 weeks he could have been played. That's mis-management.
Had to put down my girl a few weeks back, I shouldn't be watching those videos cause I'll find myself down at Humane Society tomorrow picking up a couple of pups.
