I personally think this makes a lot of sense for a three reasons. 1) We are most likely only going to carry six receivers. Marshall, Decker, and Smith are a lock to make the team. That leaves Kerley, Enuwa, Evans, Graham, Powell, Posey, and Owusu fighting for four spots. With the way the roster is constructed today Powell and Kerley have will take two spots as they are the only experienced KR and PRs on be team. That leaves Evans, Graham, Enuwa, Owusu, and Posey fighting for 1 spots. Enuwa is a beast blocking and serves a function in the run game and Owusu can do everything Smith can do and is healthy. By putting Smith on PUP we can take a longer look at Owusu. 2) Smith won't be ready by week 1 and needs time to get up to speed as he hasn't participated in any training or mini camp practices. Let Smith shake off the rust at practice in a controlled environment. 3) Owusu has been the best WR in camp (when healthy) and him making the team shows the players that the best players are going to play regardless of draft position. Keeping Smith on the roster at the expense of Owusu and Enuwa sets a bad precedent. Both WR are more deserving of a roster spot than Devin Smith. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Unreal. Simply. Unreal. I think it makes zero sense. To begin with, I don't think Smith is eligible for PUP list. That is for non-football related injuries or illnesses. Secondly, I'm pretty sure that you're wrong. Smith was here for the mini-camp practices and was injured in TC. Why do you think we are likely to only carry 6 WRs? Most people project the Jets to carry 7. Owusu looked very good returning kicks. Graham is no lock to make this team. I like Owusu a lot. He's very talented. He's had a great camp and he deserves to make the roster, but not over Devin Smith. Devin Smith has a TON of potential. Enunwa is a big target and a good blocker and has some potential, but he has nowhere near the talent or potential of Smith, and you don't keep WRs around to block.
It never once entered your mind that if it was as easy as putting any injured player on the PUP list, every team would do it? Useless post, but at least we can take about what receivers we think are going to make the team: Marshall Decker Smith Kerley Enunwa Owusu Powell or Evans if we go 7
Why should I care that you That's a tough one on who to keep if it comes down to it.Walt Powell has been decent on special teams and Evans is just starting to make a few plays here and there
another thread.....another failure... please stop with this shit. even if he WAS eligible for the PUP you don't use regular season games to "see what Owusu has got" GTFO.
we've been trying to get a newfoundland puppy but it's a pia dealing with breeders and you don't see newfoundlands at shelters
my neighbor has a pit puppy that's adorable. Chocolate brown and a real sweetie. I want it. Should I trade for him or wait for him to be cut?
They'll most likely deserved it, And none of his friends will even came to back him up. Puppy is not a leader and has no respect in the locker room, Cut him.
