Yeah after-all, stats tell the entire story.

You have an awful eye for talent, it's OK to admit - don't worry about it, continue to have your assessment. Watching Mark and Geno will do that to someone for sure.

If you're referring to me, say my name. Otherwise keep it to yourself. Same goes to the guy with the Native American in his avatar, whose name I can't be bothered to care enough about to remember. I stand by my comments. Teddy is slightly above average with an average arm (maybe not weak but for sure nothing special). I have seen him play and I'm not impressed. He's the definition of MEH. You guys wanna cream yourselves over him? Be my guest. But don't bitch about my opinion. BTW that scouting report was hilarious. He's nowhere near Russell Wilson, who happens to be a true franchise QB (soon to be elite).

Still waiting on proof of his arm strength.

Name the list of QB's you picked to be stars before the draft. Oh don't have one? Then your eye for talent sucks too.

That's all he's got. Someone has a different opinion and he gets his tits in a bind.

    Go ahead, pump dat E-Chest!

You don't need to have a rocket-arm to succeed in this league, the best QBs in NFL history don't have the strongest arms. Or did you not know that? There's a reason many say this game is 75% mental, if you can see the field, make pre-snap, read the defense, post snap adjustments w/ accuracy and ball placement skills you can win as a QB in this league no doubt.

I guess you are satisfied with Geno Smith though. Teddy while doesn't have Joe Flacco arm strength is a special talent mentally and his accuracy is good as well as throwing on the run.

Watch some tape, it will do you much better then looking dumb in this thread.

I find this amusingly ironic because early in his career when I was spouting off about how Russell Wilson could be an elite franchise QB and cited the same scout, people were finding that hilarious also.

Jets could have had great players if only they picked earlier each year

    Players missed that year:
    Darren McFadden
    Glenn Dorsey

In the draft of 2009 we selected Marc Sanchez in the first round.
    Players missed that year:
    Jason Smith
    Aaron Curry
    Tyson Jackson

In the draft of 2010 we selected Kyle Wilson in the first round.
    Players missed that year:
    Tyson Alualu
    Tim Tebow

In the draft on 2011 we selected Mo Wilkerson in the first round (great pick)
    Players missed that year:
    Blaine Gabbert
    Christian Ponder
    Danny Watkins
    Jonathan Baldwin

In the draft of 2012 we selected Quinton Coples in the first round.
    Players missed that year:
    Trent Richardson
    Morris Claiborne
    Justin Blackmon

In the draft of 2013 we selected Dee Milliner in the first round.
    Players missed that year:
    Eric Fisher
    Dion Jordan
    Tavon Austin

In the draft of 2014 we selected
Calvin Pryor in the first round.
    Players passed on that year:
    Eric Ebron
    Justin Gilbert

Poor Brad still can't get over his hate for the guy.

You must be rooting so hard against him so you can feel you were right about everything wrong you've said about him over the past 2 years.

Brad just guessed wrong over the past two years and he can't admit it.

I didn't say you can't critique a draft-- of COURSE you can. and we all should. But let's do it fairly.

You can't critique a draft with 20-20 hindsight and say we SHOULD have taken player x over player y because of how they ultimately performed.

That's sophistry of the highest order.

OK, I agree with that, but I think you can say that we SHOULD have taken player x over player y if you thought that way before the draft. For example, you know that I wanted the Jets to draft Teddy Bridgewater before the draft. Thus I think it's totally fair for me to say that we should have drafted Bridgewater instead of Pryor.

    100%.

If you thought it before, by all means. That's called conviction.

Picking up the Draft Tracker a year or 2 or 3 or 4 and picking out pro bowlers (some of whom you'd never heard of) and saying "we should have taken him" is just fraudulent.

I wanted Teddy two years before that draft, the day of I wanted him more than any player in the entire draft. Would have taken him number 1, would have traded up to get him.

    Perfectly legitimate critique.

What the OP has done is fraudulent.

What John Idzik did (or rather didn't do) was criminal.

You're the one looking dumb, calling Teddy "a special talent mentally". Peyton Manning is a special talent mentally. Brady is. Brees, Rodgers, etc. Maybe Teddy gets there one day, he ain't there now. Raise your bar a little bit, jackass.

The only thing this post tells me is that QBs w/ high football IQ come in different sizes and shapes.

    Awesome job. A+ effort.

Why should I have to waste my time? The answers are everywhere around you.

It's possible that Teddy becomes a franchise QB. Time will tell. He is not that right now. I'm just not that sold on the guy. If I'm wrong, I'm wrong. No one bats 1.000 when forecasting how a player will do. It's amazing how many nut swingers the guy has on this thread. I guarantee if he never becomes good, these same fangirls won't even mention it.

It's not answers. My opinion is my opinion. If you disagree, fine. Don't talk shit and insult me, keyboard warrior. Keep it respectful or fuck off.
