So the Jets didn't need Bridgewater? I guess going with Geno was the right decision. A lot of fans here had a lot of Geno Smith like support prior to that draft. We will be talking about missing out on Bridgewater for years to come - and all because he's too "frail" to play the QB position, which ain't the case.
1. I disagree that it is silly to critique a draft afterwards. You certainly can't do it beforehand. The only time to critique a draft is following it, and it can be very instructive. 2. I agree that those drafts had nothing to do with luck. That extends to the Gholston pick. If I'm not mistaken (and I may be), I think the Jets won the last game of the previous season on a KOR which knocked them back from 4th or 5th to 6th. 3. That's too good for Idzik. Besides, he'd probably like it.
Prob, I think he moves to the top 10 before the end of the season. People think Tannehill is a top 10 QB and I laugh at that to be honest. At least your team has Tom Brady.
When he tore up the Gators in the Sugar Bowl I said well there's the future no.1 overall pick, with another season to play...... but he had a bad "workout" in gym shorts in an empty field then.......
Not sure why you don't think Tannehill is a top 10 QB. He has improved every year he has been in the NFL. Last year he completed 66.4% of his passes for 4,045 yards, 27 TD's to only 12 INT's and his QB rating was 92.8. I don't think you can find 10 NFL QB's who were better than that.
Only time will tell. I can say I don't think he will be good based on what I watched in his senior year at Louisville, and last year. the QB position is a crapshoot. But what do I know, I'm a Jets fan. No rational person should be a Jets fan.
- Rodgers - Brady - Manning - Andrew Luck - Brees - Big Ben - R. Wilson - Matt Ryan - Philip Rivers - Tony Romo Outside [no order]: Eli Manning Cam Newton Matthew Stafford Joe Flacco Ryan Tannehill He's not a top 10 QB, #s ain't everything. He's a choke artist that can't make all of the throws, but puts up decent #s
Slightly above average? Weak arm? OMG ROFLMAO Some of you guys talk out of your asses and have no clue about what you're speaking.
He also played very well last season, despite having sub par Wide Receivers, no running game, and a terrible offensive line. He's already above average and will be very good for the next decade, barring any injuries.
Instead of saying something like this, how about providing some evidence for the strength of his arm?
That still would be just my opinion. So you don't have any stats to back up your claim--calling someone stupid who disagrees with you doesn't make sense to me.
