While the current available crop of FA QBs is less than desirable I would rather they bring in Thigpen. He is familiar with Gailey's system so he could get up to speed quickly and at least has more TDs than INTs. Not saying a lot but when scraping the bottom of the barrel you get what you get.
Totally forgot that Thigpen is still out there. He wouldn't be a bad pickup. Any move wouldn't bother me much, as long as Petty gets a decent amount of preseason game time (would love to see him with the 1s against the 1s, however unlikely).
http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.co...g-from-texans-practice-and-they-wont-say-why/ Mallett is disgruntled in houston. Let's send Eugene and a bag of footballs for him. He can't be any worse, mccagnan knows the texans well and IMHO Geno has lost the locker room and the trust of the coaching staff. Trade for this beast?
Heaps has been so bad he wasn't even worth a spot as a camp arm. This isn't a big deal just another guy to throw the ball for a couple weeks.
Maybe its a a psych out to get Heaps on the PS? I'd bet my money that Flynn is a little more beat up than we expect or Geno is going on the IR for a bit or something.
Heaps must look pretty awful if they wouldn't even bother to give him snaps in the first two pre-season games and cut him before the third. Usually the fourth game is when you throw your third stringer in there for a bunch of snaps.
