I have all my liquid assets in beer. If someone is going to piss away my money it's going to be me. _
O.K. guys..here we go. Simple stock market primer. AT THE END OF EVERY LONG TERM PRESIDENCY..The markets tank. After Reagan (Bush the elder caught the shit end of that stick), After Clinton, and After Bush, the younger. About 12 -16 months prior, get into cash. They call it a correction so you don't catch on, while they steal your face. Uncertainty pushes markets down. Those with big capital hedge by getting out. Not unlike the Sept-Nov annual profit takings...
If u don't mind me asking, what are your positions? I'm too long on gpro and it cost me. I like rig and ois around here.
Hmmm. Bush takes office in 2001 and the Dow is at 15000. 8 years later he leaves and it is at 7500. Under Obama it goes up to 18000 and now is at 16000. But this a fake economy and we need another Republican to make things right again. Okayyyyyyy. Does Obama get credit for$2 a gallon gas prices like he was being blamed four years ago for $4 a gallon prices?
NOthing is black and white they are all puppetz lets try to enjoy our quality of living or thats just the simple me
Anyone that looks at the factors you posted and thinks they explain anything at all should not be allowed out of the house.
You do realize that oil below $40 per barrel is a major contributor to the drop in the stock market? Yea, it's always better to save a few pennies at the pump rather than lose thousands of dollars in retirement saving plans.
Funny you mention that, the wife is too aggressive for that. Seriously, where do you park cash so that it doesn't earn a fraction of a percent these days?
shit will turn around, no use worrying about these things unless you're retiring tomorrow. if not you can always just jump off a bridge.
So, who is president makes no difference to the economy's performance? I can see why that is a convenient position for conservatives to take.
A fraction of a percent beats losing 10-20 points. Been sitting on cash since May--feels like I just got a raise this week. _
