Thoughts on Gailey so far?

This may also be a side effect of Fitz not having the arm strength to "make all the throws."

I'm pretty sure that's more a result of a QB who is a huge fan of short safe throws and checkdowns.

I was never thrilled about Gailey being our o/c. I saw part of the second qtr. I didn't see anything glaring that would impress or worry me. It's hard to find fault in him right now IMO.

 

He got Geno playing like a QB so there's that. If only he could have gotten Geno to keep his mouth shut without wires.....

 

Seeing as how he's only used about 5 percent of his playbook I'd say he deserves to get fired too.

There is a reason Gailey was out of the NFL for two years. His offense never makes a QB look good.

 

Expect Gailey to spread the field with 4 receivers and cause mismatches down field with intricate and confusing routes. Then expect Fitz to checkdown to your running back for a 3 yard gain.

 

Gailey is a good offensive coordinator. He can make bad players look alright. I expect Jets to look better once the real games start.

 

3 yrds per play means we'll be looking at a lot of 4th and 1's. Tebow time??????

Why do you start these threads? I don't get on here much but when I do I enjoy reading awesome threads and you are 0 for 3 so far in my book and ruining my experience of reading serious Jet fans who put up serious material.....but my fault for thinking that maybe this time you're coming with something worthwhile

 

This troll account starts like 15 threads in the preseason and then disappears during the regular season. It's an easy pattern to recognise for moderators that give a shit.

 

I don't mind this thread even though it is a tad early to judge.

Before Preseason we all thought the Defense would be dominant and its looked rusty in games. The offense was filled with doubt mainly because of Smiths questionable (I am being nice) abilities. I really think both will get better.

Fact: We won a preseason game that gave Fitz more time to work with the first offense and all receivers. Nothing great but progress. Petty looks to be our future considering his learning curve from PS game 1 to 2. Len Williams will help our defense dominate. Now we have 3 good skill players at QB IMO.

Who is Todd Bowles? Who is Chan Gaily? We are finding out. The "conservative" game plan is fine if we WIN and keep WINNING...sorry that's all I care about. Gaily will go from the sh-tho use to the penthouse if his formula works.
