Here's the problem I have with your view and others who share this view. The opponents to marriage equality base their obvious bigotry on religious grounds, claiming that homosexuality is a sin etc. Yet we have a society that readily accepts adultery and none of these righteous religious leaders who are incessantly fighting marriage equality on religious ground - its God's word after all- gives a rat's ass about adultery. Why no indignation against an act that is clearly a sin (one of the ten commandments in fact) and is about as damaging to "family values" as you can get. So two homosexuals in a committed relationship is a sin and an abomination that must be prevented before society falls apart, but adultery is just a "men will be men" ha ha ha thing that goes on and on. The religious right is the most obtuse, bigoted, hypocritical group in the US. When a business refuses to provide service to an adulator or the 50-60 other sins condemned in the bible on "religious" grounds, I'll believe the religious objection objection. Until then its just another way to discriminate.
