He missed several open throws outside of the Burton play, including one to Jordan Matthews early in the second drive.
No, not even close. Sanchez was a little off though. Jacked up to be playing again, I think. Missed some open targets and was high on some passes. Clearly has a good grasp of the offense, but just needed to settle down. He would have if he played 4 quarters, but was only in 2 drives.
Sanchez sucked, but the even more pathetic showing was the Colts' coverage without Vontae Davis, Sanchez missed guys open by a few yards on every pass attempt.

Sanchez is terrible at recognizing if/where the blitz is coming from, and makes terrible decisions once under duress. he also holds the ball too loosely in the pocket. put it all together, and i like the odds of him turning the ball over multiple times. and you cant even compare last years secondary to this years. all 5 starting positions have been changed and upgraded. the opposite of New England*

If I had the choice of (only) Geno or Mark at the same cost and contract..........I'd take Mark. I'm sure that stats wizards can probably prove me wrong but Sanchez always seemed more of a threat in the redzone (meaning I felt we had a 50/50 shot rather then expecting an INT or FG) and the interceptions he threw came when we were down by a score and chasing the game in the 4th. Geno seems to chuck his interceptions in early so we're generally either out of the game dead heading into the final quarter or the D is beat up and exhausted from trying to keep us in touch. I'd much rather stay on the edge of my seat through every game till near the end of the season with the Sanchez then have us in trash time and elimated by mid december with Geno (who then decides to show his pro-ball flashes!).
but sanchez kicking ass is such a funny topic when its posted anywhere else on the site. i was literally lmao one day when someone asked about sanchez and the reply was i heard he was kicking ass....
