guys there's nothing to break down here. Geno has no respect in the locker room, taunted IK who he owed money to, and IK rocked him in the face. Geno is NOT a leader, and I have officially closed the book on him. This incident speaks volumes. He does not have what it takes to lead a locker room or this franchise. He is immature, and he is done and finished. If I'm the Jets I never put him on the field again and let Fitz ride out the season while we plan for the replacement.
What a douche. Just take your beating like a man and move on. Re: whether Geno Smith is considering pressing charges on IK Enemkpali, a source told me last night: "the first concern is Geno's health. But all options are on the table as of now." I think it's important to note that a full 24 hours has not yet gone by since the incident occurred. There is still time for emotions to settle. Plus, what would be the collateral impact of pursuing a legal case on a former teammate? There are many things to consider from all angles, including moving on.
If you studied Lincoln truly, then youd also know he had plenty of his own including the possibility of bipolar disorder. Since he was a well known manic depressant. Tell me about hw great a person jfk was too while youre at it. He never made any mistake and was a model human being.....Well you get the point. Sent from my SM-N910V using Tapatalk
From the Post: “Hopefully, this is a wake-up call for [Geno],” one source said. http://nypost.com/2015/08/13/geno-smith-said-to-need-wake-up-call-after-instigating-jaw-punch/
Oh, Geno. You fucking putz. From SI: http://mmqb.si.com/mmqb/2015/08/13/...ts-geno-smith-punch-buffalo-bills-coaches-nfl But that didn’t give the Bills much time to vet what exactly happened between Enemkpali and Smith. Ryan admitted he did not speak to Enemkpali before they put in the waiver claim, but a member of the staff contacted a current Jets player who was in the locker room to get an account of what happened. The root of the fight was $600 that Smith owed Enemkpali after backing out of Enemkpali’s charity football camp last month to attend the funeral of a friend. According to the version some members of the Bills heard, Smith was mouthing off about the debt in the locker room, and Enemkpali told Smith to come over and say it to his face. Smith did, and put his finger in Enemkpali’s face, at which point Enemkpali slugged him. (After being released, Enemkpali issued a statement of apology but has not spoken to the press; Smith has not commented on the matter.)
I would like to correct that account. Geno dragged his stool over to IK, sat down on it and looked the other way and IK sucker punched him from the side. _
What was Geno hoping to gain by bragging about a $600 debt he owed to a teammate? If anybody remembers how Geno approached the stage and put on his Jets hat on draft night, his body language tells you all you need to know. Kid thought he had already arrived.
When can we expect your actual analysis? You can deny reality all you want. This is reality and everyone but a few jets fans realize it at this point. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
That right there was the RED flag that every GM could see except Mr. Idzik. Then 2 days later he fires his agent and goes with Jay Z, plus someone mentioned his body language and all these were "tells" of his character. He deserved it.
I have been a long time supporter of this kid and felt he really wasn't give a proper chance. I had high hopes that this would be the year he proved to everyone,he was the right pick. Then this stupid crap, as crazy as anything I've experienced in all of my near 50 years as a Jets fan. An I am afraid to say it speaks volumes to me about the maturity of this young man. This kind of crap does not happen to a respected leader in any locker room. I am still not quite ready to give up on this kid but after this I see him on the bridge with a flaming torch in his hand. At this point it is my hope that Mac can swing a deal for a young up and coming QB who could be the player and leader we all wanted Geno to be. Let Geno come back after he is healthy again and see that player looking to take his future. Geno plays out the season and then goes head to head with the new guy and best player and leader stays.
LOL how did people ever think this joke of a player was going to be our future QB? Massive waste of a draft pick.
