Oh guys grow up. This guy punched our idiot qb in the face cause geno dared him to and couldnt be bothered to pay him back 600 dollars. Im glad IK is no longer on our team but honestly Im glad someone else gave him a chance. Geno is an idiot, hes been getting killed by teammates and the media. This will teach geno a valuable lesson. Dont act like hot shit until you are hot shit.
Sad thing is, while Bowles and Mac did the right thing by removing a guy like that from the locker room. You know Rex is up there congratulating him. I don't have a problem with another team giving him a shot, everyone deserves a second chance. It's more about what I think Rex is probably telling him. Although thats all speculation on my part haha
He said he wanted bullies. First Richie I and now this dufus. But what I think we'll see is a very undisciplined team on the field like we saw here. Let's see how long Richie can be on his best behavior and not start going back his usual self. I think he could kick IK's ass if needed. And he definitely wouldn't pay him back, either.
Is Rex the Donald Trump of the NFL or is Trump the Rex Ryan of the Republican Party? I think I need a bourbon to figure this out.
Buff is having no problems at all, while we experiencing a complete shit show, and you guys are going to pretend there is a circus in Buff? that right there is the trolling.....or maybe just blind homerism.
He wasn't charged criminally....unless Geno presses charges (which he won't) .NFL doesn't get involved in locker room fights. The article says "They Might" .....a lot of ifs and maybes nothing solid .Article is worthless its just a recap of what happend with the title "NFL May Discipline IK"
Did you bother reading the article? The NFL does get involved if he signs elsewhere which he just did. Fighting in work environment: "Enemkpali was released by the Jets almost immediately after the incident, but he is eligible to sign with another team. If Enemkpali were to sign with a different team, he could face discipline under the league's policy, as this is considered an incidence of workplace violence."
Although I didn't want IK to go to a division foe, I am glad he is getting a second chance. Geno deserved that punch. All that starting Geno would accomplish this season is a top 3 draft pick in 2016. We can compete now this season.
That's my point. Why not suspend him instead of cutting him for nothing? I know Bowles had to do something, but cutting him was a knee jerk reaction. What if Bowles came out and said: "I don't give a damn what the altercation was about. Both players were wrong. We do not operate like this as a team. Therefore, effectively immediately, both players are suspended for the first 4 games of the season." Bowles makes a huge statement of who is in charge, Jets keep a decent defensive player and Geno is out for the first 4 games anyway
IK needs to be punished in some manner, I was OK with it being that his consequences was never suiting up in the NFL again after his idiocy. I can't believe it only took a day for that to go out the window. Now something needs to be done, that is a terrible message to send players that it's OK to knockout, physically attack, and injury someone on your team and not be held accountable for those actions. IK literally broke a starting QBs jaw, vets cut, makes more money the following day from another team. That's not ok. If this Judge lets Brady off free of any wrong doings, I'm going to explode. That's another topic though, but the principle of it is, a message has to be established so these things do not continue on a regular basis for futuristic purposes.
He made the extreme example out of IK. He made sure his players knew, this is not ok, some players in this league would not be phased by a suspension. Bowles made the right move, he did the right thing, and he is proving to know what he is doing. I applaud his decision.
So you're saying that IK will have an opportunity to sack and/or break Geno Smith's jaw again in weeks 10 and 17?
