Bowles apparently said that Fitzpatrick is "our starter now." That's huge. Geno isn't automatically going to get the job back when he returns from the injury. An argument over $600 cost a starting QB his job and got the other guy cut. How crazy is that?

Why is Fitzpatrick handed the job? Shouldn't he have to earn it through a QB competition? Bring in another QB, like Vick and let Fitzpatrick, Vick and Petty compete for the job. Isn't that what all the Geno haters wanted in the first place? A competition?

Not crazy at all. IK as an asshole, but Geno is not blameless. This should be a good lesson for the rest of the team to not fuck with Bowles.

So I was just watching NFL Network (masochist that I am) and I hear McGinest and others say that Smith deserved to get punched if he baited IK and waived a finger in his face. So that got me to thinking. Tom Brady cheats his way to a SB (or 4), lies about it, destroys evidence, and refuses to cooperate. He whines on the field constantly, runs up the score, screams at teammates, and never credits the other team (or shakes hands) when the Pats lose. But Brady is getting a raw deal with a 4 game suspension. Smith deserves to miss 2-8 games and have his career jeopardized because he got in an argument in the locker room and his face was hit by someone else's fist. That is why I hate the NFL media.

Do I really have to do the simple math for you that 5 games is not "most of the season"? Judging by the statement I highlighted, I just might, so... NFL regular season is 16 games. For him to miss "most of the season" he would have to miss at least more than half of the season. 16 divided by 2 is 8. 8 is greater than 5. I had a friend pass away recently from an accident on the job and I can tell you for sure that if I owed someone $600 it would have been the last thing on my mind. Especially if I made the kind of money those players do. I'm sure even IK made enough money to make $600 look like pocket change. If IK was any kind of a decent human being, he wouldn't even of wanted Geno to pay him back. Geno was doing him a favor by going to his camp in the first place. If I was in IK's position, I would have had a lot of sympathy for Geno losing a close friend and told him not to even worry about it.
