Head coach Todd Bowles reported the news at a press conference and follow-up reports by many (including NFL Media’s Ian Rapoport) gave background info that Smith had been waving a finger in Enemkpali’s face in the midst of a verbal altercation which, as they say, “escalated quickly…I mean, things really got out of hand, fast!”

Gonna have to read back... Summary is Geno was going to attend IK's charity event. Geno had a close friend die and could not attend. IK had bought him a plane ticket. Geno had intended to pay him back but had not done so yet.
