    Rappaport reported that IK has issued a statement where he apologised to coaches, fans and team mates but that BOTH he and Geno let their frustrations get in the way. Given that the incident escalated in the locker room others SHOULD have intervened.

    I was rooting for Geno but the fact that he needed to be a leader he should have walked away or not let himself get into the position. What will it mean for whatever chance he had of being a long term member of the team as he is sure to lose respect – Revis also has been reported as confirming that BOTH were involved in the heated discussion.

    Really rooted for IK man, sucks he's no longer on the team. Did we really have to cut him? I would've sent him home for the rest of training camp at the very least. Maybe put him on a PUP list IDK.

    was just on the BBC website and I saw the headline "US & Canada - Quarterback out after 'sucker punch'" and even before I clicked it I somehow knew it was going to be about the Jets.

    Oh. That could be. Not funny, though. Bowles did say it was a sucker punch, so that implies one punch total. He also said the argument was childish. He must be sick to his stomach.
