The head cases all wind up here. Just our luck. More like Jets Asylum than TC We should have a Director of Medication Management
What??? I've seen him multiple times get in the face of his teammates and put his finger in their face on the sideline alone. So, yeah, I could def see the same thing happen on the practice field and locker room.
We've gotten to the point where the Idzik picks are turning on each other. Only time will tell, but he may have actually found a way to miss on every single pick in his 2 drafts.
People keep making Geno Smith the victim here but Why was he in IK's face? Why does he act like such a punk? I don't get him. My hope now is that Ryan Fitzpatrick plays well enough that when Geno is healthy, he sits on the bench. Awful event though.
Just when you thought we couldn't hit a new low and POW! Then again, when playing for NY, you have to protect yourself at all times brah.......
I think its not a stretch to suggest if he's not afraid to get up in the grill of a teammate during a game with the cameras on, he's probably even more likely to do it in the locker room where they have privacy. I'm sorry but short of hearing that Smith took the first swing - which Bowles cutting IK and calling it a "sucker punch" doesn't sound like he did, I don't know how you can blame Smith in anyway. These are grown ass men, tensions get high. I work in a fuckin office building as a damn accountant and people get in each other's faces for christ sake.
Even if that's how you look at it, what does that tell you abut Geno that he does this kind of stuff in camp in the locker room, when other guys like Brady or Peyton haven't done anything like that their entire career? Lack of respect, lack of leadership. You just don't do that. Whatever happened leading up to it doesn't matter. Maybe IK was teasing him, he was talking trash to Geno, who knows. But you don't take it to the next level and start a fight by putting your finger in somebodies face, there's no reason for you to do that. That's where the lack of leadership/respect comes in. He hasn't earned it yet. And he's smarter than that.
Where is this disrespectful conclusion coming from??? Lol Jesus, can we wait till we hear the facts before we just ASSUME he was acting like a bitch. To me it sounds like he was trying to take on that role of leader, just because one player doesn't respect him and felt like knocking his head off, doesn't mean it was the wrong move. Again, we don't know the full story.
Bottom Line.... 1) Ik waaaay out of line. no excuse for what he did. 2) Geno... clearly not respected in the locker room. no way a respected guy gets a swing taken at him... or doesnt have teammates step in for him before/after. 3) insane silver lining. we no longer have to suffer through geno's early struggles, and play catchup after he craps the bed. suck geno got hurt, you never wish that on someone. but from a pure football standpoint, this is great for the teams chances
You don't remember the noodle arm jokes that went on the entire time he was here? The base was split then as it has been under sanchez and smith.
Only a complete submoronic toadstool would say smith is blameless, it was a confrontation. That is NOT a one sided affair.
Because there is only one victim when someone gets sucker-punched? The only punk is the unemployed one.
What facts do you have that Smith was acting like a punk? Maybe he was trying to be the leader of this team and felt it was on him to let IK know he was acting like a punk, that he wasn't doing what was best for this team? We don't know the details, If Smith was acting like a bitch, then he was in the wrong for that and should be punished. He didn't deserve his jaw broke regardless of the situation at hand.
LMAO I'm about to rewatch Friday with Ice Cube. Remember when that dude Dlo stole that guy's chain? "my grandma gave me that chain"
